This is a great restaurant in a great location in Rapallo. The prices are very reasonable (coming from a family with three kids). The atmosphere is pretty laid back, so it is kid friendly. We also like that there is a big variety on the menu. One of our favorite aspects of Vesuvio is their friendliness. The staff are very friendly and patient. They interacted with our children and were patient with the little Italian we knew. We highly recommend the fried calzone (see the attached picture), it’s unlike anything you can get at other restaurants in Rapallo.

The location is really nice, just front sea. Easy walk you are in the old town or at the beach. The staff is really friendly and fast in serving. We all ate pizza and focaccione (similar to cheese focaccia). The focaccione was good and soft, the pizza was good but sometimes was missing, a good pizza that you can eat in many other places. The desserts were almost anonymous, the pineapple sorbet was missing the taste of pineapple and the apple cake (despite it was light and soft) was missing the taste of apple.

Disappointed with the taste of all the plates we ordered. No taste of fresh seafood. Spaghetti seafood is just a taste of tomato sauce. Deep fried calamari is not crisp and tasteless. Spaghetti clams is with baby clams. Overpriced and they told us to sit outside as it's fully booked inside. 5 minutes later, they offered another group of guests to sit inside when the outside tables were already occupied. Obviously, they wanted to attract the other guests. NOT recommended.

Let's just say it was sickening. I ordered the mixed grill fish platter. From the pictures it looks amazing, until I cut into the fish and found the intestines still inside. Then being told by staff that it's normal. That's something. This place is, for a lack of a better word, deplorable!

Nu tog vi bara pizza. Övrig mat kan vara bättre. Men med en skylt som har ”Pizzeria” tillsammans med sitt namn kan man ställa lite krav på att de gör goda pizzor, speciellt när vi är i Italien. Den första pizzan - Quattro Stagioni brukar innehålla fyra huvudingredienser. Den hade tre. Dessutom var den vegetariska delen beströdd med champinjoner på burk. I Italien? Den andra - Al Crudo - var ok, men saknade stinget vi är vana vid. Båda pizzorna hade dessutom en tomatsås som var lite sur. Kanske var det tomat på burk? Ovanpå eller snarar undertill - så lyckades de även undergrädda pizzorna. Läget och servicen skulle ändå gett en tredje stjärna om inte restaurangpersonalen släppt in gatumusikanter som hängde över borden. Obegripligt.

Di passaggio a Rapallo ci siamo fermati in questo ristorante-pizzeria. Situato sul lungomare di gode di una bella vista sul golfo. Cibo ottimo e buona cantina dei vini. Abbiamo prenotato delle acciughe impanate, buone e la frittura ottima e non unta. Poi dei primi: spaghetti vongole e bottarga e spaghettoni hand made alle melanzane, pomodorini e preparati nella scodella del parmigiano. Che dire, una leccornia. Nonostante ci fosse molta gente il servizio è stato veloce. Il parcheggio è sul lungomare a pagamento ed è difficile trovare posto. Ci siamo ritornati e abbiamo ordinato Orata alla ligure, buonissima.
