A True Gem in Rapallo – Ristorante Vesuvio is Unforgettable!

Dining at Ristorante Vesuvio in Rapallo was an unforgettable experience from start to finish. The atmosphere is charming and elegant, with beautiful views and a warm, welcoming vibe that instantly makes you feel at home.

The food? Simply outstanding. Every dish was a celebration of authentic Italian flavors — fresh seafood, perfectly cooked pasta, and the most delicious tiramisu I’ve ever had. You can tell that each plate is prepared with passion and attention to detail.

The staff were incredibly friendly and attentive, offering excellent wine pairings and sharing stories behind some of the dishes, which made the evening even more special. Whether you’re a local or just passing through, Ristorante Vesuvio is a must-visit.

I don't know if I've ever seen canned mushroom pizza in my life, unfortunately my wife got it. I got "pizza verdure" with a few slices of paper-thick vegetables, apparently cut on a grater. I'm not Italian and I don't live in Italy, but as a chef I consider it very shameful even if I ate something like that in any other country. My son ordered a sprite and got a Pepsi... we "enjoyed" all of that, of course, having to pay an additional 12e for serving a table (which is not mentioned anywhere except for the bill you get at the end) and that would not be a problem at all if you leave as a full and satisfied guest, which was not in our case. We often come to this area, but unfortunately we will not visit this...

This is a great restaurant in a great location in Rapallo. The prices are very reasonable (coming from a family with three kids). The atmosphere is pretty laid back, so it is kid friendly. We also like that there is a big variety on the menu. One of our favorite aspects of Vesuvio is their friendliness. The staff are very friendly and patient. They interacted with our children and were patient with the little Italian we knew. We highly recommend the fried calzone (see the attached picture), it’s unlike anything you can get at other...
