Bar Enrica — Restaurant in Riomaggiore

A delight to dine here!

While searching for a decent sit down place for lunch, we chose Bar Enrica which has better ratings than the surrounding restaurants that are open in November.

With a simple menu like panini, bruschetta, burgers, salads and pastries, the place is very pleasant.

We ordered a panini, 2 bruschettas and a salad for 4 to share. We were very happy with the quality of the food as everything tasted fresh and made to order, generous in portions and ingredients, made with passion.

Prices are reasonable too! They have nice seatings outside without paying much!

What really stood out for us is the cheerful & attentive service from one staff in particular - her name is Gaia or Gaer( please excuse the spelling) She made the whole difference in our dine in experience. She speaks good English, gave great recommendations and is fast in attending to us, even with changes, she always has a genuine smile on.

I (Asian from U.S.) was staying right next door a few weeks ago for 2 nights. Did not have the code to the lock box for the door key. I went into Bar Enrica for help and the 2 students staff were so nice and kind! They called the next door’s owner on their local phone for me and got me into the place! I stopped by early morning next day to get a pizza breakfast and it was delicious with good price. Before sunset, I stopped by for a gelato and it was delicious also! After they closed for the day, I tapped on their window to wave thanks and goodbye. Hope to visit Manarola again and will definitely visit Bar Enrica again and again! The lovely people at Cinque Terre were all so nice!...

We were relieved to find a table after checking the reviews, but the experience quickly went downhill. As soon as we sat down, the waiter told us that half the menu was unavailable, leaving only the most industrial options. Unfortunately, by then it was already too late to change restaurant as the area was getting crowded everywhere. I ordered a burger, and honestly, it was the worst I've ever eaten. Yes, the menu mentioned it was frozen, but I expected a frozen patty cooked properly... not a ready-made supermarket frozen burger shoved in a microwave. That's exactly what it tasted like. The fries were passable, but nothing more. Overall, a huge disappointment and definitely not...
