We were in Rome for 5 days and this restaurant we found on Google was near where we stayed. We went in without booking (wasn’t aware that it would be busy as it’s a Thursday) but luckily we had a table which is the one outside. At first, I wasn’t sure I would like to be sat and have dinner next to the road but after we sat and ordered our food, it wasn’t too bad at all since the table were all full and there were others sitting outside as well so we weren’t alone. The atmosphere was actually quite good, half street food and half restaurant which made it very relaxing (the light decor definitely helped). We felt very comfortable and enjoyed our food and drinks there.

Responding to the owner: Get your facts right!!!! I didn’t request for Tabasco for my pork dish but for the fried chicken tenders!!! Also don’t weasel your way out of giving us a good seat coz clearly your waitress was racist and gave us a seat near the toilet!! The gravy for the pork was lumpy and disgusting. And lastly we never ordered any pasta dish!! Don’t make up stories !! Horrible experience with horrendous tasting food. And they seated us next to the toilets even though they were almost empty ! I may be Malaysian Indian but I definitely know my Italian food!! I WISH I COULD RATE DISGUSTING!!! Because they were AWFULLY DISGUSTING !!

In April 2022 my wife and I traveled to Italy and ate at this restaurant. We called ahead and Rudolf was very helpful in booking our reservation. His English was perfect! We arrived early and had a few Spritz before lunch that were great! Our lunch consisted of two pasta dishes and the fried potato appetizer. We also had the tiramisu after dinner. If you want friendly service, great homemade pasta dishes, and some of the best tiramisu we have had ever this is the place. We thank the owner who served us at the table for great service and appreciate the wonderful Italian hospitality everyone showed us. Bravo!!

Responding to the owner:

We are also in the food business back home and it’s obvious that the owner is protecting a service and food that is not up to standards. We reserve our comments, no point talking to a wall, as the reply did not address the concerns. Definitely, there is no way we will step into this restaurant, and most definitely we will share our experience to so everyone we know.

Had dinner at Boris Cucina and Salotto, thought it will be a good joint, but the waitress with a judgmental tone asked whether we had a reservation, looking at the restaurant there was enough empty tables to accommodate us , but she told us to wait outside the restaurant which we felt a bit awkward when the decision could have been made to have us seated at the empty tables. After a few minutes, I believe she saw us standing outside and it occurred to her that we were waiting for the table. She called us in and directed us to a table near the WC, when there were other empty tables. After serving the mediocre food, we asked for Tabasco sauce but before serving the sauce we were told that the Tabasco sauce will change the colouring of the food and we can’t complain if the food tastes bad. My gosh, the audacity for the waitress to tell us that, it endorses that the restaurant had served bad food before and they are masking their bad food by putting the blame on the available sauces, it just disgust me. Looking at the waitress, it’s apparent that she may not have traveled outside the Rome bubble. Finally, I when went over to make the payment for the horrible food, another waitress who was busy talking and did not even come over to take our order had the audacity to ask if I wanted leave a tip for the screwed-up service provided. Staff in the restaurant do not have situational awareness. This is not a restaurant that welcomes tourists so avoid...

My very FAVORITE RESTAURANT in ALL of Rome! My travel companion and I joyfully ate at Boris 4x in the 9 days we were staying on Gregorio VII, luckily for us only about a block from our airbnb. Highlights? One of the owners, Rudolfo is fantastic! His warmth and infectious enthusiasm is endearing and heartwarming. He is the most hard working, committed restauranteur I have had the good fortune to meet in all my years as a Food and Beverage ptofessional. We wanted to adopt him... The food is innovative, delicious and budget friendly. I was hooked on the first visit with a shared Caesar salad and fabulous seared pork belly. Don't forget to try a glass of their Saliato(?) red wine from Rudolfo's home region. We came back to marvel at the 6 course prix fixe Sunday brunch for 25 euro (includes beverage) which is served from 12.00 to 17.00. Make reservations early, Boris only seats about 40 folks. The music! They played tons of classic American R&B, soft rock and Motown. The entire team. Rudolfo, being the quintessential gentleman restauranteur that he is deflects every compliment to his whole small, committed Team. IF you want to be ahead of the curve and DISCOVER a new hot spot before it gets too crowded, make the trek now to Gregorio VII and Boris Cucina and Salotto! Did I mention it's open from 10.00 until 00.30? BTW, Boris is the name of one brother's (Filipe or Federico)'s dog! Keeping it all...

dear boris, I recommend visiting a psychologist because your inability to accept criticism and admit your mistake is ridiculous. even with one bad review, you can't apologize and admit your mistake. you also have to realize that you own a pub with bad service, broken chairs and rude staff and not a Michelin restaurant. your "restaurant" was not full when we arrived, the table was not marked as reserved and I was not at all angry that they moved us to another place. we got through right away without any problems. the table that came after us also did not have a reservation and was served. I waited 35 minutes and I didn't even get a menu card. I don't know what scene you're talking about because you weren't even there for the first one and I didn't scream or anything like that for the second one. I also work in gastronomy, so I understand a lot of things. but ignore the guest for 35 minutes and not even apologize? poor.... I don't make wars, I'm a customer who spends a lot of money and leaves high tips, but not in such holes as your "restaurant". I'm glad we left and I spent money in a restaurant where they know how to respect their customers.

😂😂😂 boris, please send me the camera footage, I'm very curious about what scene you're talking about. and I will contribute to the psychologist, you...
