We ate here on our first night in Rome and were so delighted with the service and the food that we decided upon a return visit the next evening. How we wished we hadn't!!! On the first night we were given a complimentary antipasto dish along with dessert meringues at the end of our meal. A lovely touch. On the second night, we ordered our meal and again, complimentary antipasto arrived. After we'd finished the main courses we'd ordered, two extra plates appeared, compliments of the owner of the establishment. We were a bit overwhelmed, but accepted his hospitality as we had on the first night. Moments later, his daughter appeared, flustered, but apologetic that we'd been given someone else's meal. "So sorry. My father is an old man and he's made a mistake". When we became aware that it was a mistake, we offered to send the food back but the response was "No bother.... it is our problem". It very quickly became our problem when our bill arrived and we'd been charged 26 euros for a dish we neither asked for, nor wanted, but as an act of appreciation for the "father's mistake", we chose to eat. Or the rest of us (me, mom, sister) didn't need anything to drink?? Luckily the woman had better service mind and got everyone something to drink.
About the food, it was edible, they had this scalops dish with two options; one with "wine sauce" and the other with some type of lemon sauce. I tried one option and my mom and sister tried the other but when the food came in they looked basically the same, except the lemon one had a slice of lemon on the side. Another thing I find weird is how their dishes didn't have potatoes of some sort with the meat...
The dessert (Tiramisú) was absolutely lovely and oh so delicious! That was probably the best part of this restaurant....
Read moreIt was my first time eating Sardinian food, and it was delicious! The kind server was super knowledgeable and helped me choose from some of the traditional dishes. Everything was fresh, well made, and tasty. It is not a central location, so the restaurant was empty for lunch; but don't let it fool you - it is not indicative of the food quality. I had a three-course meal starting with the excellent ravioli sardi, maialino for second, and seadas...
