Today I was very eager to visit this place with my daughter around 14:00-14:30. We passed there several times in the last days and I saw all the beautiful pastries there. And when I read that they also offer pasta I decided to visit the place. We found a place outside with shadow and waited for the waiter. And it happened NOTHING. There were other guest, all Italian speaking, and the waiters (a male and a woman) looked after them all the time. They passed our table several times - and NO word - like "go inside.." or "do want the card" or "we close now" - NOTHING. We have been just ignored completely. I consider myself a friendly and very patient person but after 15 minutes we went away. I'm embarrassed to rate this place so low. When I walked inside this morning I immediately had a renewed love for food. Me and my family came in with happy hearts and empty stomachs but we don't speak Italian and we obviously don't know the flow of their deal and that was enough for them to write us off. The guy serving the coffee was visibly upset to the point of berating us and the lady serving the pastries wasn't happy either. The guy running the cashier managed to meet us halfway but unfortunately we walked away feeling like we shouldn't come back. Such a shame too because the food was great! Disappointing this morning. There wasn't much of a selection. Before Covid their showcase was full, today only half full. The chocolate pastry I bought cost 6 Euro. I thought she said Tre Euro. Instead she had said Sei Euro and I didn't know that until she gave me 4 Euro change back at purchase. No price sign was posted. Pastry was so sweet I couldn't taste the chocolate, it was not worth 6 Euro and it was not worth the trip from Piazza Vittorio.
