Che FC Ristorante di pesce — Restaurant in Rome

We found this place by mistake and couldn’t be happier. We walked in without a reservation and got lucky because almost all the other tables were reserved. The owner, Munna, who took care of everything waited on us. As you can see he brought out a bucket of fresh seafood over ice and helped us select our dish which was sea bass for 3. He let us try 4 different white wines which we then bought a bottle for the table. We ordered a dozen oysters on the half shell which were excellent along with the octopus and potato salad and the fried squid, prawns and anchovies. All were delicious and so flavorful. When the sea bass came out he cut it and served it up in front of us and it was incredible…light, fluffy and sweet! We topped it off with a lemon sorbet which was light and creamy and for good measure he brought us a chocolate cake with whipped cream to share and shots of lemon cello! Fantastic seafood dinner with wonderful service.

We were looking for a place to enjoy an early dinner and we came across Che FC.

The welcome was warm, the restaurant nicely presented.

We were presented with a trolley of all the fresh seafood that they were cooking today and we were able to pick our own fish which adds to the experience.

We started with clams and pasta which was absolutely delicious. Then a fresh grilled sea bass with Caponata Siciliana which was outstanding! Perfectly cooked.

Attirati dagli ottimi voti ci siamo andati. In effetti è un po' piccolo ma non pensavamo soltanto 6 tavoli (ogni tavolo in realtà era composto da 2 tavoli piccoli da e posti, così ogni coppia di tavolini era adatto per 4 persone. Ambiente molto basic: tovaglie che sembrano i canovacci con cui si asciugano i piatti, poca luce, muri blu (in effetti come il mare, ma con diverse macchie e scheggiature da sedie), ma del resto quel che conta è il cibo. La cameriera è gentile e propone i bei pesci del giorno. Però le foto che si vedono nel menu scansionando il QR code sono "ingannevoli" in quanto nelle foto sembrano delle belle porzioni e poi nella realtà le porzioni sono la metà (ma il prezzo è intero). 16 euro per un piattino piccolo di fritturina (antipasto) mi sembra un po' tanto. 2,50 per una bottiglia d'acqua da 1 litro ci può stare. Il risotto alla pescatora l'ho trovato molto gustoso e la porzione era giusta. L'orata con un po' (pochine) di verdurine intorno 28 euro ci può stare. Abbiamo pagato tutti e 3 il coperto, ma poi ci hanno fatto pagare anche 1,50 di pane... mai pagato da nessuna parte, di solito è incluso nel coperto. Diciamo che era per noi tardi, dopo una giornata di camminare, avevamo fame ed eravamo stanchi e ci siamo fermati non sapendo in zona in quale altro posto andare, ma sinceramente non è un ristorante dove ritorneremmo né che possiamo consigliare. Poi ci mancherebbe, magari qualcuno ha avuto altre esperienze e avrà altri pareri, ma di ristoranti a cui abbiamo dato 5 stelle non si avvicina per nulla. Se 5 è il massimo e 1 è il minimo, qui si può per me dare 3 (sufficiente). Ah, ci hanno offerto un mini-sorbetto al limone (in realtà non da freezer ma da bottiglia di plastica).
