Great authentic Italian restaurant!! This is exactly what everyone is looking for when the want a great meal when coming to Italy. When you arrive in this country, every Italian will tell you, “ all the food is great” but this is far from the truth. The goose, is exactly what you’re dreaming of. Great, very flavorful food with considerate service and appreciative owners whom of which have owned the business for decades and have a real sense of authentic Italian food pared with genuine family dynamics. When you finally arrive to Rome and are excited and ready to try the “real deal” Italian, do yourself a favor and dine at this restaurant. Every employee at this place is nice and geniune. We went for the traditional three course experience and were not disappointed. We were seated near the Pizza oven and saw so many delicious pizzas coming by we decided to come back a second time and enjoyed the thin crust pizza. When we arrived the second night, the restaurant staff greeted even more warmly as they recognized us from the night before. The prices seemed reasonable compared to other restaurants in the area. You must have a reservation. We called in our reservations only an hour before we got there. We saw many people turned away who did not make reservations. It seems they’re only open in the evening. Chef Derek ordered the Roasted Turbo w/Olives and potatoes. There was nothing discernable between the fish and potatoes, which were shredded and heaped onto the fish. It appeared the idea was to potato-crust the fish, but the potatoes were too wet when applied and there was no crusting in the oven in the short time it takes the filet to cook. No distinguishable textures to tell you where the potatoes ended and the fish began. It looked and tasted like mush. I didn't take a photos because the fish was very ugly.
