I would give 10 stars if I could! Honestly the best eating experience I had in Rome. There was a great choice of pastries when we went, they were all fresh and still warm from the oven. Absolutely delicious and even my gluten-eating friends said that they couldn't tell it was gluten free. But the cannolis are THE BEST part!!! The lovely lady who served us went above and beyond - she was concerned that the pastry would get soggy if she filled the cannolis herself, since we were ordering to take away. She then proceeded to give us instead a whole piping bag of their ricotta filling, a small pot of crushed pistachio and even a paper bag of powdered sugar. This is a Culinary experience... the best Gluten free baking I have ever had (this includes my own baking) Everything is made fresh daily. I had a croissant that was buttery and flaky!! It had lamination and a excellent buttery taste. I recommend getting one with the lemon custard for the full experience. I have the plain and returned for the custard filled croissant. The croissant sandwiches are great as well (I made several trips across the city in my 3 day visit to Rome). The cannoli were crisp and delicious, and I finished with a cream puff that was light and delicious. The tart had great flavor, but the crust could be a little thick for some tastes. My partner and I are both gluten free and, without going over the top, this place is possibly the greatest place on earth. We have been to Rome three times and this place is always top of the list of attractions. On our last visit we literally walked halfway across Rome, barely stopping for more than a photo in front of the Pantheon, St Peter’s etc in a rush to get to this place. Everything is delicious, but the cannolo will actually blow your mind.
