Special place. Normal, down to earth. All folk from the neighbourhood enjoying some home cooked food. Not over salted. Not full of crap. Delicious. 2 brothers run it. One cooks and one serves. Nice guys. You feel at home here. Try to book, or arrive early.. cracking little boozer across the street called ‘big muff’, obviously after the 1970’s guitar distortion pedal. Get a pint in there. The Italian session IPA is superb. U can also get an oyster with your pint n watch the football. Then, walk 7 meters n you’re here in this restaurant. Proper food, home cooked, fresh n healthy. If you like being treated with subservience then this place isn’t for you. If I am fortunate enough to return to Rome, I’ll be back, right here. Thanks guys.

The meal was spectacular, atmosphere was like being invited into their home, and the service was friendly and kind. We had the fritto misto, the ravioli con pere, and the octopus risotto. They were all fantastic. The octopus, juicy and tender; the ravioli cheesy and excellently paired with pear; and the fritto misto was an excellent sample of fried bread with mozzarella (my favorite), rice balls, zucchini, and cod meat balls (my husband's favorite). We love this place, and will return the next time in Rome. It is off the tourist trap route, surrounded by locals. Make sure to reserve a table, we saw many people turned away and came back later to reserve a spot.

This family-run trattoria is tucked away in a quiet residential neighborhood and run by a pair of charming twin brothers. The space is cozy with a lot of personality. The Tamburello, the restaurant's namesake and specialty, is a baked stew in a terra-cotta dish and covered with pizza dough. We had the Tamburello "Sole Mio", a stew of broccoli rabe and sausage. We also tried the gnocchi with cod, olives, capers in a red sauce. It was delicious and full of flavor. We finished our meal with a chocolate almond torte. Each dish was authentic and well executed. I would highly recommend this restaurant.

We had an unforgettable meal at this charming family-run osteria in Rome. The place is owned by two brothers, and you can feel their passion the moment you walk in. The service was exceptional — warm, attentive, and genuinely welcoming, as if we were old friends coming over for dinner.

Every dish was outstanding, full of authentic Roman flavors and prepared with such care. Fresh ingredients, traditional recipes, and generous portions all beautifully presented. You can truly taste the love and pride in every bite.

This is the kind of restaurant you dream of finding in Italy — cozy, sincere, delicious, and filled with heart. Highly recommended for anyone looking for real Roman hospitality and incredible food. We can’t...
