An absolute gem! We arrived in Rome on the 1st of September in the early afternoon and went exploring and walked everywhere before meeting with my wife's friend. She proceeded to walk back to I assumed a restaurant close by but NO we walked back across the city, which for me and my bad knees was not easy, and I was in pain. As we walked down the street I was a bit nervous as it is not the most welcoming of streets with poor lighting and it runs parallel but underneath the main road. By time I spotted the lights of Miraggio I was getting very irritated from the constant walking but it was an oasis of calm. They were a little busy and everybody was sitting outside social distancing as best they can. At this stage I did not care what the food was like but just did not want to walk any further and insisted we accept sitting at 2 separate tables, 3 adults & 4 teenagers. I told my wife to order any starter she wished for me as I was in no mood to translate the whole menu. I concentrated on the mains and thankfully spotted steak on the menu. There were 4 listed but I was not sure which one I wanted. Steak tartare was a definite no for me and thanks to Google I understood that I wanted Steak Fiorentine as it looked like a decent rump or ribeye from the images. Ordered it medium-rare and sat back to relax as I waited for the food to arrive. The wife had ordered the usual Italian starters with a couple of local Roman specialities and they were lovely. When the mains arrived and my Steak was presented to me I was very impressed by the size & thickness of this T-bone. I could not wait to tuck in and I was not disappointed. It was cooked to perfection. Decorum, as we were in company I had never met, prevented me from picking up the bone and sucking it clean or that we had left our dog in London as he would have loved it. As I ate I forgot about the pain in my knees & back and enjoyed every morsel! The other bonus of the Miraggio is that they sell the large glass bottles of Coke and it was chilled to perfection that truly helped wash down the steak. The dessert wasn't too bad either and although I still had to walk back to the hotel afterwards, I limped with a smile on my face and a satisfied stomach. A couple od days later as we waited at the airport for our flight my wife asked "What did I like about Rome the most?" I replied "The steak!" I am already looking forward to my next visit to Rome and to explore the wonderful architecture & history but I may choose a hotel next to Miraggio or very close by as this will definitely be on the agenda. Definitely...

We came as a group of four, looking forward to a nice dinner and trying some local pizza. We planned to order two pizzas to share — which is usually more than enough, especially if you’re not starving. But the staff didn’t even let us place our order. They refused to serve us because, according to them, one pizza must be ordered per person.
There was no warning, no flexibility, no effort to accommodate — just a flat-out refusal. We’ve never encountered such treatment as guests. Instead of helping or offering alternatives, they just turned us away.
⚠️ If you value respectful service and a welcoming atmosphere, think twice before coming here. This was a complete disappointment.
UPD:
I understand you have this policy, but the execution was poor. Your restaurant was completely empty when we arrived - you would have lost nothing by being flexible, only gained revenue.
I get that you're trying to maximize profitability per table, but that strategy only makes sense when you're fully booked. With zero other customers, refusing our order made no business sense.
If this is truly a strict policy, you should inform customers upfront when they're seated, not after they've spent 10 minutes choosing dishes. Yes, it may have been written in the menu, but I only noticed it when you pointed it out while refusing our order - by then we had already wasted our time.
A simple heads-up at the beginning would have saved everyone the awkward situation. Better communication and some flexibility when the restaurant is empty would go a long way in improving the...
Read moreI came here with my friends and we have never been made to feel more uncomfortable and awkward as at this restaurant. When we first came in the staff made comments about us in Italian about how we looked basically objectifying us as young girls, my friend ordered a pasta dish that she had never heard of before and so had to point at the menu to order it the waiter took our order without writing anything down he then brought all of our food apart from her dish and then proceeded to scream angrily at her demanding what she ordered but as she had never heard of it before she didn't know the name. The waiter continued to be aggressive but luckily my other friend found a menu and pointed to what she had originally ordered. We all finished our food and when we finished my friend's order finally came and it wasn't even the right dish that she had ordered in the first place and he also aggressively slammed down her plate in front of her. This wasn't the only issue, I ordered a seafood risotto which was tasteless and watery and the fish was an extremely bizarre texture as if it was overcooked I couldn't eat any of the seafood. I would not recommend this restaurant at all the staff were rude and aggressive and the food was average to below...
