Ristorante Anzuini — Restaurant in Rome

I was in that group of 4 for lunch. The answer of the restaurant speaks for itself. Full of irony and even lies, a total lack of professionalism. Such a shame after such a wonderful trip eating in many other amazing restaurants that never had an issue, including a restaurant nearby in the same neighbourhood right afterwards. Strongly recommend by the way: Tratto! Maybe you could learn the so called etiquette from them.

First of all, such a big lie that we got the last table, there were at least two more available.

Second, we weren't gonna share meals, only two of us were hungry, meaning only two of us were gonna eat. We were a family (two parents with son and daughter) on the way to the airport. I'm sure the Italian (or any) etiquette does not imply making two of them wait outside. They were gonna have drinks and maybe some appetizer.

Third thing, we didn't pay the couvert because it was not charged, and tbh it wouldn't make sense after this...

I figured we would try this restaurant since it was next to our hotel, after being disappointed by several restaurants in Rome. The menu is very limited, we don't eat pork, but the restaurant was very understanding and offered suggestions on what we could eat, and to be honest with you, it's amazing. The owner is very to the point and I can see why someone wouldn't like that but he knows what he makes. Good and if you want any good food, this is the place.

I highly recommend the ravioli. The tuna pasta didn't taste like the typical tuna pasta I had, I'm guessing they're using actual raw tuna and cooking it as opposed...

Such a pitty! Our last day in Rome and this was the only restaurant we had a very bad experience. Rude waiter, stressed, in a hurry. We had to go to the airport and not all of us were hungry by that time (restaurant's opening hour 12:00, so not crowded or anything). We ordered 2 dishes (besides drinks) and they refused to serve because we were 4. While I understand that's not optimal for a restaurant, the big problem was the way the waiter unpleasantly "welcomed" us since the beginning, very unwilling. We paid for the drinks and left.
