My experience here was amazing. I stopped to try the Indo-Mex fusion, a blend of my two favorite cuisines that I had never seen before. I tried the butter chicken bowl and Dabeli tacos and they did not disappoint. You can tell they use fresh ingredients, are very attentive to detail, and most of all, they pour their passion and love into not just the food, but the customer experience as well. While the food was outstanding, it was not the highlight of my experience. The staff were exceptional. The lead chef is a trained professional who has a story to tell with every meal and truly loves what he does. The young man behind the counter greeted me with a large smile, passionate about where this new restaurant is headed, and always attentive to my needs. They are a new restaurant, but I am confident they will become very popular very soon. I am a tourist, but am so glad to have happened upon this spot. Truly a unique blend of fusion food fueled by unique, curious, and driven youth. While I visited the Colosseum and Vatican today, this meal was the highlight. I am genuinely thinking about visiting Rome again to eat at...
Read moreI promised the owners I would come back and leave a review of I was half impressed with the quality of the food as I was with the atmosphere and humanessence (service).
It's with ease I write these words, as my partner and I thoroughly enjoyed these moments, food is a big part of human experience and we had so much fun and joy consuming, playing and experiencing the love, the spices and the good energy baked into these tex mex meals. It was the first time my partner had the opportunity to try out Birria Taco's and it was my first time experiencing her eyes light up for the flavours that she was ingesting.
Really high quality food, matches the lovely the service and energy met when you enter the front door, I would effortlessly order from here again and this is without a doubt a best kept secret in down town, Rome, if you are visiting the Appio latino area be sure to take the 10 min hike and spoil your sensors after all we are all here for a human experience and food is a quintessential to life. Read moreThis place is super small. But it's very good.
We wanted something different, just because someone in our group doesn't love Italian food.
The owners who double as the staff are really nice. They speak fluent English, if you aren't good with italian.
I had the Curried Birria tacos. They were very delicious. A bit on the small side, but super tasty. If they had been a bit bigger, I would have given the extra star.
My spouse has the samosa, fries, and another dish i can't recall. He enjoyed all his food. I'll admit the fries were not great, but they weren't bad.
My daughter had the butter chicken bowl, which she enjoyed.
Note: There is no washroom in this establishment. It's more of a takeaway/take out spot.
But I would recommend it if you're...
