Osteria Controvento — Restaurant in Rome

Let's start by saying I choose this restaurant to celebrate my wife's birthday and it was walking distance from our Airbnb. We are Colombians living in the U.S and that was our first day in Rome. The owner, Catalino, welcomed us and immediately poured some prosecco to celebrate her birthday. After that it was all a smooth sailing. We recently dined at Osteria Controvento and it was an exceptional experience from start to finish. The staff was attentive and friendly, going above and beyond to ensure we had a great dining experience. The food was the real star of the evening. Every dish was beautifully presented and the food was very delicious. The combination of excellent service, delicious food, and a charming atmosphere makes it a must-visit. I’ll definitely be returning soon and highly recommend it to anyone looking for a memorable dining experience....

I’ve been to Italy many times (Tuscany, Amalfi Coast, Rome and Milan a couple of times, all of Sardinia, all of Sicily, Lake Como, Venice), and this is by far one of my favorite restaurants in this country. The freshness of the product is out of this world, you can taste the sea! Order the crudos, the fish, everything is amazing. Customer service is also amazing.
