Sant'Isidoro Pizza & Bolle - Prati — Restaurant in Rome

Even though the food was great the whole experience was ruined by the staff... We made a reservation for 2 pax under one of our names, when we arrived the young waiter asked us the name of the booking and that's when all the rudeness began. Apparently the waiter was annoyed by the fact that our name is Italian (which is not, is just a common name in ALL southern Europe...) So he proceeded to go inside mumbling how stupid it was from us to have an Italian name but not to speak the language (plus, we might not speak it fluently, yet I assure you we do understand enough...). After returning and continuing to act like he didn't wanted us in the restaurant he pointed a table to us, to our disappointment and even though the restaurant was still empty the table was in the middle of the sidewalk rather than in the porch. We kindly asked to change for a cosier one which apparently startled the other two waitresses who reacted rudely and annoyed. In the end after realising that they actually gave us a table for 3 pax they agreed in letting us sit in the table we requested. At this point I honestly was disappointed and revolted enough to leave the place luckily the young waitress that took our table saved the night as she was extremely kind and effective. My point with this review is to make the management of this place aware of how badly their staff can affect the business, for the first 10 minutes of my experience as a guest I felt mistreated and unwanted... The food was delicious but I won't return and honestly if you are visiting Rome and don't feel confident enough to speak Italian, I do not recommend...

Food was amazing! The service was horrible, but after interacting with the other staff I think it was just one waiter that needs to be trained. We ordered a bottle of bubbly wine, the waiter had no idea how to open the bottle and when he did it sprayed everywhere. What was so shocking is that he poured it anyway even though we lost half the bottle on the ground. I was shocked to see it was charged to our bill. Then we ordered a red wine and he tried to pour it on our old glasses that still had old wine in it, we requested new glasses which he brought but visibly upset we would ask! He could barely open the bottle, didn't ask us for a taste. Not long after he brought the bill and said it's time for you to leave as we have our second round of reservations. There was nobody in the restaurant so we didn't understand why we had to hurry up and go to a new restaurant for desert. Food was good, pizza amazing, server ruined the experience. Locale molto carino in Prati, stile moderno e minimal, si presta bene per serate di gruppo e in coppia. Davvero belli i tavoli coi divanetti e i ripiani per le bottiglie, peccato per le ragnatele su questi ultimi che mi hanno portato a togliere una stella dalla valutazione ambiente, che altrimenti sarebbe stata al top. Poco da dire sul cibo e sul rapporto qualità/prezzo, conto leggermente più alto (di poco) rispetto alla maggior parte delle pizzerie, ma giustificato dalle ottime materie prime e dal risultato dei prodotti finali, oltre che dalla zona sicuramente rinomata. In particolare i fritti sono degni di nota, con le pizze che non scherzano, con buona selezione di varianti gourmet per niente banali o scontate. Ovviamente punto forte sono anche le bollicine e la selezione di vini. Le note dolenti, che aimè ci sono e riporto, anche se non vorrei, riguardano il servizio, quantomeno sul finale di serata. I camerieri, molto frettolosi, hanno dato proprio l'impressione di volerci liquidare il prima possibile, anzi lo hanno espresso abbastanza chiaramente, asserendo di dover chiudere, nonostante non fossimo vicini all'orario di chiusura. Capisco il voler non fare tardi nei giorni feriali, però non era tardi quando siamo andati via e mancava un'ora all'orario di chiusura indicato, oltretutto saremmo anche arrivati prima ma limitano la possibilità di prenotare solo tramite sito web, oltretutto a orari fissi e predeterminati da loro (abbiamo dovuto fissare per le 21 e 15). Ripeto, capisco le necessità, ma mi è parso tutto un po' eccessivo. Eravamo lì per un compleanno e hanno portato la torta a loro discrezione, senza chiedere conferma su quale fosse il momento adatto, perché evidentemente era ormai ora che ci alzassimo, dimenticandosi oltretutto delle candeline opportunamente consegnate a inizio serata, con l'imbarazzante scena della torta andata e tornata 2 volte. Inoltre c'è stato un piccolo disguido finale con la presunta torta avanzata sparita nel nulla. Dico presunta perché non ho avuto modo di vederla personalmente, alcuni dei commensali giuravano di averla vista e il cameriere sosteneva fosse stata servita tutta, aggiungendo poi, dopo un consulto con un collega, che quella avanzata fosse un'altra torta, nonostante non ci fossero tracce di altri compleanni in quel momento. Non ci sarà mai la controprova e magari sarà stato effettivamente così, però insomma, nel complesso una situazione non gestita bene e sicuramente non proprio un epilogo perfetto. Al netto del servizio rivedibile, quindi, consiglierei comunque il locale, nella speranza di esser capitato in una serata no, che può senz'altro verificarsi, o che possa venir posta maggior attenzione e meno pressione al cliente, qualora questo fosse il modus operandi, perché le potenzialità per essere un locale top ci...
