We come into a place with dust hanging from the corners, and worn down tree decor on the walls, but we will give it a try, because the food could be great. The waiter cannot smile even once. When you get soda and water, you can use one wineglass to drink these from, no additional glasses for both water, and soda in separate ones. Despite there were barely any people, we had to ask for a kids chair on our own, and the staff seemed annoyed by our children. The food was some of the worst we had during our entire stay ever in Rome! The mozzarella was chewy like rubber, the tomatoes were dry and no flavor, we didn't get any glaze despite another table getting it when we left. The pizza was bland, thin boring crust that was burned totally black. Eat anywhere but here, it will taste better, and a homeless person will give you...
Read moreThis restaurant was a perfect spot and one of our favorite meals in Rome and in all Italy. We had the Bucatini all'Amatriciana and the Tonnarelli Cacio e Pepe, complimented with a rocket/arugula salad (maybe the Rugghetta?). We love the basic Roman pastas, but this was the only time we had Amatriciana and it was transcendent. Of course, maybe it's wonderful everywhere. We ate early about 10-15 minutes after they opened at 7:30, and were the first at the outside tables without reservations. Others soon arrived, a mix of English, German, and Italian speaking tourists or locals. There was a nice evening breeze, but I thought it might be cooler if the clear plastic barrier around the outside seating wasn't there. That's the only thing I didn't like about the atmosphere. The people were very nice and service...
Read moreMe and my girlfriend ate here this evening on our last night in Rome. We’d walked past the restaurant a few times on our travels, and had been meaning to come all week as it looked very welcoming and the menu looked great. It was quite busy when we came but we managed to get a table quickly. I ordered the Papardelle alla bolegnese and my girlfriend ordered the Salame pizza. Both of which were delicious and I highly recommend. Our waiter spoke good English which was appreciated by us. The service was a little slow but the waiter did apologise for this as he stated it was busy and he was alone. Overall a great dining experience which I highly...
