Really overrated: 1.The food was barely consumable. The plates weren't small, they were tiny. The pasta wasn't even eatable - it was almost raw. It was obvious that the number one priority there was the extravagant (not necessarily good) façade of the plate - the roasted beef with mashed potatoes was not only completely tasteless but also badly served. The atmosphere and experience were out of question - there were none. The service was nonexistent but in the end it figurated as 8 € in the bill. The prices are absolutely unreasonable - 63 € for 4 people (we had two miniature plates, two beers and two ice teas). The prices in the menu are NOT what we payed at the end - the beef with mashed potatoes was 18€ in the menu but we had to pay 21 and so on. I guess there's a reason why it was lacking clients. This place has the big pretention to be a gourmet-Michelin-kind of food without any justification to do so. The worst eating experience I had in all of Rome - it's nothing like the real greatness of italian cuisine. I would have never looked at it in the first place had it not been near my hotel and had I not been hopeless because of not having the possibility to dine at a real italian restaurant...
Read moreVery good experience and a lovely place for a date with my wife. The service was friendly, welcoming and attentive. The suggested wine was excellent, but a little over priced as is normal in a restaurant. I had the zucchini flan for a starter and it was delightful, light and delicious. My wife had the fig carpaccio with burata and prosciutto, a classic combination and hard to go wrong. For our main I had the spaghetti with cherry tomatoes and burata, absolutely delicious! It was perfect for a warm late summer Friday evening. My wife had the lasagna and was equally happy. For dessert my cherry ricotta tart had little cherry flavor and the crostata was too crumbly. The fig crumble wasn't to my taste at all, my wife said it was fine. Over all between the service, food and atmosphere this was a great meal out. It is a tad expensive, and the desserts were disappointing, however if we lived closer we would definitely return as the service and main courses were...
Read moreThree of us ate here on our recent trip to Rome and it was amazing.
We started with the Zucchini flan with pecorino cheese fondue, the Meatballs in Tomato sauce with salted Ricotta cheese & the Bruschetta with Butter and Cantabrian Anchovies. All were fantastic, though the Zucchini flan was a stand out antipasto for our entire trip.
To follow we enjoyed two Tradional Roman pasta, a Carbonara & a Cacio e Pepe, and the Roman-style Veal cutlets with baked Potatoes. Each was delicious and amongst the best we had on our stay.
To finish we had a Tiramisù & two Chocolate salami. All fabulous.
The evening was made perfect by the friendly waitress who made us feel welcome, joked and chatted with us, whilst being the only staff helping a dozen tables.
Highly recommend visiting this...
