The Thai food here is probably as authentic as you can get in Rome, but it's not THAT authentic. We tried this place two days running for lunch and then dinner, and we found the lunchtime food far more authentic than the evening. The dishes were spicier with more flavour.
In the evening we started with chicken satays which had very little flavour on the chicken and weak peanut sauce. We also had a larb gai (chicken salad) and this was really bland. I don't think any chilli powder had been added, nor lime, so it was just minced chicken cooked in its own juice with shallots. This was very disappointing.
For the main courses we had pad Thai and pad prick king. The pad prick king was reasonably spicy and contained more flavour than the pad Thai. The pad Thai was a little too oily and again, lacked the spiciness one would expect with Thai food.
The manager/owner was exceptionally polite and helpful. He was really pleasant and took care of us well. I only wish the food could have been up to the same standard. We would go back, but we would make sure to tell the chef to make it more like it should be in...
Read moreWhen you go for a date with your wife you want food for both served at the same time. First they bring out the wrong order. They take it away but leave the rice. Then my wife’s dish arrives…and mine 13 minutes later. By then the rice is cold. I approach the owner (or manager) which he says is Canadian and i kindly tell him they pretty much screwed up our date. He replies saying they are short of staff. Why didn’t you tell me right away? Why didn’t you cancel the take away orders (very busy on that department) and tend your real customers? He didn’t apologize nor offered us a free coffee. The food is just OK. No choice of brown rice and a Singhai beer is 8 euros. We will not be going back. When is Rome stick to...

Well, I ordered a pad Thai and it was the saddest and poorest padthai that I ve ever had. Noodles were all broken there was no variety of vegetables and untasty and very little amount of shrimps. For the modest price of 13 EUROS. The lap was more eatable but still no return for me to Sukhothai, which is a shame because I was very excited to have it not ft...
