A lovely surprise to end my trip! I found this cute little restaurant purely by luck! I stayed in the area for the last two days of my trip, and when I saw this place had a high rating and lots of great reviews on Google, I thought, "This must be a restaurant that truly cares about their food." And I was right! The atmosphere was cozy and welcoming. Even at 10 PM on the weekend, the place was still bustling with customers — a great sign. I ordered their signature Carbonara, made with cream and ham, and it was absolutely delicious! Every staff member I interacted with was incredibly friendly and warm — it made me feel like I was in a really nice place. I loved it so much I came back the next day! On my second visit, I was short on time and opted for take away. I tried the Rigat Amatr, a tomato-based pasta, and it was just as tasty. (I’m sure the pizza is amazing too — I really wanted to try it, but I was worried I wouldn’t be able to finish it alone, so I went with pasta again.) What truly touched me was the kindness of the staff. When I got home and opened the bag, I found a cookie and two lollipop added in — maybe they thought I was a kid? anyway I was suprise!🥹Even though I’m over 18, it felt so heartwarming to be cared for like that. I do love sweets — thank you so much! To top it all off, I later realized they even gave me a discount, which I only noticed after checking the receipt at home (my math is terrible!). I'm sorry I didn’t realize it in time to thank you in person, so I’m writing this review to say a heartfelt thank you for your generosity and kindness. Rome is wonderful — I love this city, and I’ll definitely be back. And when I return, I’ll come back to this restaurant for sure!

One of the best meals I’ve had in a long time! We ordered the pinsa with prosciutto, fresh mozzarella, and arugula, a creamy cacio e pepe, and two delicious desserts – a rich tiramisu and a berry cheesecake. Every bite was incredibly flavorful and felt like real, authentic Italian cuisine. Beyond the food, the service truly stood out. Michelangelo, our waiter, was warm, attentive, and incredibly professional. He spoke excellent English, made sure we had everything we needed at all times, and was always one step ahead – fast, friendly, and spot on. The food came out quickly and hot, and the whole experience was just seamless. Highly recommend this place for a genuine Italian experience with fantastic service!

I had an unforgettable dining experience at Tira & Molla in Rome! The food was absolutely incredible, bursting with authentic flavors and perfectly prepared. Every dish felt like a celebration of Italian cuisine, with fresh ingredients and a beautiful presentation. A special mention goes to Gian, our waiter, who made the evening even more memorable. His warmth, attentiveness, and knowledge of the menu made us feel truly welcomed. He offered spot-on recommendations, and his enthusiasm added a personal touch to our meal. If you’re in Rome and looking for an exceptional culinary experience with outstanding service, Tira & Molla is a must-visit. Thank you, Gian, for making our night so special!

Very good Italian food away from city centre and tourists Me and my mother were on our first trip to Rome, and we found this fine gastropub completely by chance, as it was near our hotel. It seems to be frequented by locals, and it's not a surprise, for the place is very enjoyable and a delight to return to.

We came here primarily for the food, even though, from what we saw, the restaurant specializes in the cocktail and drinks department as well. The menu offers a lot of variety from the Italian cuisine, anything from the traditional appetizers, pinsa, and many main courses. The portion size is massive and good value for your money: the fried calamari came served, to my pleasant surprise, in a huge bucket! The pasta dishes also filled the whole plate, and were especially delicious. I still remember the authentic ravioli with walnuts and amazing sauce! The menu also offers Italian desserts, such as the fantastic tiramisu.

The service was excellent. Our waitress for the evening, Jessica, ensured that we got everything we wanted, was very pleasant, and helped us choose our dinner courses. We made the mistake of not taking any cash with us, so we weren't able to give a tip for the great service. In Norway, where we come from, you can do that directly from the card terminal, but we realized that in Italy that is not an option. So if you're visiting for the first time, ensure that you have cash on you!

To sum up, this place is definitely recommendable. This restaurant is a good option for above-average, authentic Italian food at affordable prices, and is definitely better than the chaos you get in central locations that are filled...

Esperienza Umiliante.
