I don’t normally like to go out of my way to complain about a place, but this really left us feeling bitter. We arrived in Rome today and decided to eat here for dinner. The atmosphere seemed energetic and lively. This turned quickly after we finished our appetiser. We finished the appetiser and it sat on our table for a good 10 minutes (we tried to show them we were done by stacking our plates). They finally cleaned up once one of us in the group got her dinner. (We were 4 total). She received her cabonnara quite quickly and ended up being finished shortly before the two others got their steak. She tried to wait some so she wasn’t going to be finished before we got ours, but otherwise it would get cold. Once the two others got their steak it took another 5 minutes before the last person got their spaghetti (me). we had to ask where it was?! They said they were doing the finishing touches or the toppings before it would come out (it was Parmesan …?). This then brings us to the finish when we all ended up being done with our food (none of us finished the food - it just wasn’t that good). We sat at our table without touching our food for a good 15 minutes before we managed to get eye contact with the server (after about 5-7 attempts or him passing the table to help the guests next to us order drinks). Once we got his attention to get the bill, he had forgotten and we had to follow up again about 5-7 minutes later when we finally got eye contact again.
I understand this is Rome and to enjoy a meal at a good restaurant takes time. We expected that - but this just takes the cake. When the food doesn’t arrive all together or at least shortly after the other then this creates the bitterness we regretfully experienced here. Safe to say we will not be going back and I felt obligated to share our experience with others to lower their expectations when...
Read moreWorst experience I have had in Rome with food. The guy running the place begged us to eat there as we skimmed the menu that was outside the place which was irritating. That should of been the first indication to not eat there, but we did anyway. We ordered 3 sodas which cost 3 euros a piece ($9). We ordered two meals which was about 10 euros a plate ($20). While we ate the restaurant owners let these beggars come play music for us and after they were done came up to every single table asking for money, which is extremely annoying when you're trying to eat. Every time someone walked by the owner told them to take a seat or begged them to eat there. The food was okay, nothing to rave about or anything nor was it gross. When the bill came it was $37 dollars. How can the bill be $37? Do the math. In Rome they add tips into the price but that's a lot of money for a tip on a mediocre meal (that was almost 10 euros of a tip). Obviously, we will not be returning to this place. If I could give it no stars I would. Please don't waste your money and get ripped of...
Read moreMy fiance and I were excited to have our last dinner in Rome at this restaurant. We waited almost an hour for our food to come(not busy and other tables getting served), the food finally came out and was sent to a different table, when it came to us it was the wrong order. We sent it back and when we recieved the correct dish it had multiple long hair throughout the pasta. Yuck! We sent it back and told the waitress we no longer wanted the dish. When the bill came, it had the dish with hair on it...upon telling the waitress the situation she went back to correct the bill. She came back and took 2 euro off of it. We told her we would not be paying for it, as we didn't eat it and she corrected the bill again, with lots of attitude. We waited to pay, while watching other tables pay and leave. The service was atrocious and the food was without flavour and mediocre. Would NOT recommend or waste your money, as it is not cheap and not a...
