In the heart of salerno, just next to the cathedral you can find this very elegant pizza place, located in What was once a convent.If you go early enough you 'll manage to eat on the veranda, facing the square, which is worthwhile. As a starter they offer a variety of fritti from the traditional Neapolitan cuisine, perfect to share as they might be a bit heavy. Pizza is also cooked following Neapolitan tradition regarding the base, but then topping combination varies from very classical to contemporary. I'm that excited that i'm writting this review while eating. I arrived to the city, and i won't lie, I didn't like it at all. At night, I saw this place, looks super fancy, i thought, oh, might be super expensive. Prices are excellent, very good for the quality of the food (same prices as the rest of locals, but much better stuff). We ordered two pizzas that were for far the best we tried from our visit to Italy (just missing napoles). Attention super fast, place super nice, staff really friendly, smily and attentive. What an amazing dinner this was for us! We have been all over Italy for the last few weeks, and this restaurant is in our top 5, no doubt about it. The trip to Salerno is worth it just to visit this restaurant alone. The service was impeccable, the wine was perfect, the food was the star of course. Everything from the mozzarella di bufala to our pizza and dessert was delicious. The location (we were seated on a second story balcony overlooking a small piazza and an old church) made the evening magical.
