We came here yesterday with my husband and our two kids (4 and 7) after a lovely day in Positano. Cool design and a modern twist of the pizza menu raised our expectations. We ordered three different pizzas and started waiting. After 50 minutes I asked our waiter how much more do we need to wait. Without checking with the kitchen, he said “10 minutes”. 15 minutes later I went to the open kitschy section and asked the chef directly, he said “One minute, your pizza is next!” Five minutes since then we saw a waiter coming with a pizza… but not to us! He delivered that pizza to a couple next to us, who came after us and had already got their starters earlier! That was the last drop! We threatened to leave immediately, cancelling the order (have never done this before). They ensured us that pizza was ready and some 5-10 minutes later we got three pizzas as a takeaway (only because I didn’t want to disappoint our children, who had been waiting for over an hour already). Definitely do not...
Read moreThis place is an absolute gem in Salerno! The food is simply incredible, with every dish packed full of flavor and prepared to perfection. The service is equally outstanding—the owners themselves work as servers, and one of them personally bussed our table, going above and beyond to ensure everything was perfect. He even insisted on joining us for a meloncello aperatif at the end of our meal, and had us have some delicious cake (even though we were already thoroughly stuffed). They have a very extensive menu (as well as daily menus), everything we had the pleasure of sampling was delicious. I'd make a recommendation for a dish, but I am certain that you can't go wrong with any choice. They made every effort to accommodate English speakers, which made us feel even more welcome. Their warmth and attentiveness made the entire experience unforgettable. You can truly feel the passion they have for what they do. I would personally come back just to visit this place. A...
Read moreI mean it wasn’t great here to be fair. The female waitress was not interested in the slightest at serving customers. At first the wrong drinks came including something we hadn’t ordered at all. The staff were nowhere to be seen for a while to order mains after that even though it was quite empty.
Once food was ordered the gnocchi and diavola pizza were adequate. It was hardly Neapolitan pizza and was quite greasy, but it was ok.
Once we’d eaten we wanted to leave but the female waitress was behind the pizza counter on her phone for ages and didn’t reappear. We eventually went to the till and waited and paid to leave whilst other diners were left unattended to. The service was poor but sadly this is a theme in Salerno.
Add to the equation beggars coming in harassing customers whilst they dine was unacceptable in a sealed premises.
Poor all round on the service side and food not worth returning for. Worth...
