SUPER CLASSY CAFE ! What a thrill for us to be back in beautiful Salerno, Italy. My wife and I spent 4 days here about 18 months ago and loved it all. Especially the fabulous pizzerias, cafes and gelato shops. And so close to the Amalfi Coast where we saw some of most beautiful scenery you can imagine. NEW VISIT ! Our good friend Martin also our private tour guide / limo driver drove us from Florence to Salerno on Thurs, March 27th…it was a 5 hour drive. We had a lovely 2 bed / 2 bath Airbnb on the 4th floor virtually on Corso Vittorio Emanuele…the long pedestrian mall that runs the length of downtown Salerno. During our 6 day vacation here we revisited most of our fav places from our first visit incl Bar Rosa al Corso where the cappuccinos are the best in town. On Saturday we came here around 10.30am for coffees and met up with a few of the staff…baristas Manuel, Antonio, Gabriel and Luigi the owner. We grabbed a comfy table inside. Our double shot cappuccinos tasted sensational and my wife loved her custard filled pastry. VERY BUSY ! It was fun to watch all the customers coming and going with their coffees, pastries etc. On Sunday we arrived here soon after 7pm for breakfast. Cheerful barista Gabriel looked after us at the service counter when I ordered 2 x double shot cappuccinos, a fresh squeezed orange juice, 2 x focaccia slices plus 2 savory pastries. Within a few minutes everything was brought to our table at the very rear of the cafe. We loved our rich creamy cappuccinos and my fresh squeezed orange juice was delicious. The focaccias and savory pastries tasted alright but to be honest we would have preferred bacon & eggs with toast…not their model. BIG DAY ! Our good friend Eugenio also our limo driver was picking us up near our apartment at 9am to drive us to Herculaneum for a tour. There we met up with our friend and private tour guide Pina a renowned archeologist. AMAZING SCENERY ! On Monday we enjoyed an enthralling private tour of the Amalfi Coast with Giovanni our limo driver. APRIL 1ST ! On Tuesday we had another big day planned….riding our rented eBikes from Salerno to the half excavated Roman Villa in Minori. BUT FIRST ! We popped in here around 7.45am for a light breakfast…a couple of double shot cappuccinos, a fresh squeezed orange juice and 4 little focaccia slices. Everything was brought to our table by Mario the happy food runner. We enjoyed all our visits here…the friendly staff made us feel very welcome. VERY...

Read moreUsed to be a great place, but we went today and the staff looked just really lazy and sad.
The place is beautiful, but was dirty and looked run down.
Cigarette butts and old balloons on the floor, the staff at the entrance sitting on the same table where they prepare the food, browsing their phone while there is honestly so much to do in the place. Did not come by to ask us about service until we reminded them about it.
Such a disappointment! We loved this place last time we here (before...
