Ristorante Novecento — Restaurant in Santa Margherita Ligure

Ok, so this is a restaurant where we felt AT HOME!

The staff are soooo friendly, funny and very knowledgeable about what they do. They do it with lots of passion and all of them are very experienced! Their language skills were superb.

The food is just perfect, from pasta to seafood to the Limoncello Spritz, you know, they do it with lots of love 💛 the portions are fantastic, they do not hold back! The price is therefore very fair.

It’s a elegant and chic restaurant inside one of the best hotels in Liguria & you can’t take off your eyes from the beautiful view while dining here. Breakfast is also served here with a fantastic morning view.

We never had tartare with cognac, it was a new experience, very tasty!

The employees here are a great asset to the restaurant and the hotel, they are very well trained from the management! Because of them, we will definitely be coming back!

Honestly had no idea where to park my DeLorean - this place is a BLAST and right out of 1985. Views over the harbour of SML, high up on a hill (the walk almost killed my septaguanarian parents (it really shouldn’t have, next birthday present is a stairmaster and a Tesla pacemaker). Delightful service, suited to the nines, knowing most of their clientele are in god’s waiting room. Food reflects that - my ravioli was beautiful to look at, but I don’t know where I’d be able to wash my dentures after using them to chew through the outer epidermis - sorry, pasta. Crepe suzette at the end put an end to my paranoia that I had, indeed, gone back in time. I have to say though that I wouldn’t have been anywhere else. We booked us a dinner for today Friday at 8pm using the Fork app. I have left a message when booking in Italian that we will be coming with a dog and to be contacted if this is not acceptable. I did not receive any response just a confirmation email. Today we got turned away because they actually do not accept dogs. The mr at the reception mentioned that my husband need to wear long trousers per their dress code too. I said we stay nearby he can go change but we cannot leave the dog in the hotel. Anyway, we left and I am very dissatisfied, the dining experience should start with the booking and the welcoming. Im sure it would have been lovely but we did not get to try it. If you do not read the messages from the booking app, do not bother using them as an option....
