Il Patio — Restaurant in Santa Margherita Ligure

APPALLING service from Gharbi who started bad way from the beginning. We asked for table outside if there is any chance he said “ calm down you didn’t get reservation so you won’t sit outside”

Then wile taking our orders he said my breast is out too much and he can’t focus on his job and he start laughing…

I called him back to say his joke was out of any control and I do not wish him to serve me anymore as he doesn’t have respect to his customers.

He didn’t apologies although he add another rude comment “ you are dressed like you going on the beach “

I called manager to make a complain and other very sweet waiter was translating.

The rest of the staff was polite and accommodating.

Food wise:

Nice gnocchi but that was starter portion very tiny amount of food

Pizza with mushroom was sad… mushroom wasn’t fresh looked like from can…

I’m manager of the restaurant myself and if my staff would talk to customers that way they will go disciplinary after such comments...

We were very excited for this restaurant. We asked to change where we sat due to my husband’s hearing loss and the staff were a little upset about that, but did accommodate us.

We ordered our wine, appetizer, and dinners. We got our wine and appetizers without waiting too long, then we waited for an hour (no one stopped to check in on us) and we didn’t want to bother the staff because they seemed very busy and stressed. We did see tables seated after us get their meals and leave.

When we finally asked about our dinner - they had either given it another table or didn’t put it in. We decided to leave as we arrived as it was already an hour half since we ordered. We got the bill for our drinks and appetizer. We thought they would have been kind enough to adjust the bill for forgetting about us.

They said come again another time - we flew from the US on our honeymoon so once in a lifetime thing for...

The food was okay but the lady with the braids was not friendly. I asked her what kind of cheese it was on the pizza en answerd annoyed, ‘ just italian cheese’ last time i checked italia has lots of different kinds of cheese. This is not the service you expect in a nice restaurant. When we asked for the bill my father did not understand that we had to pay for couvert. As tourist we didnt know. We asked what it was en another waiter ( a grumpy man) and the girl again were both sighing with rolling eyes. Excuse me?! Sorry this was a very rude service. I told him that i didnt like the way he spoke to us. I should have left without paying what a disaster. The other girl came to ask us how the food was, she was the only one who was kind and apologized for her college’s. So not professional. I hope the restaurant is taking this seriously because this is not the image you want for...
