Let's not stand on pretences here. This place is woeful and not up to scratch. We hiked down to the Sushibar, thinking it would be a nice break from all the heavy pasta and pizza, only to get stung for mediocre sushi. Firstly, they didn't get our order right, and my €8 miso soup was forgotten and came late. And what is this "new proposal" emimaki creation with mustard..? Sushi chefs at Tsukiji market would be committing seppuku. To be fair, the salmon sashimi was passable. Overall, Sushibar tries too hard to please with a dazzling array of dishes (they also do udon, soba and ramen - their kitchen must be super talented, or delusional) which I would imagine would also be hits and misses. It's an oversimplification of the complex and nuanced Japanese gastronomy. When you sell yourself as a high priced - high quality place, Sushibar doesn't deliver and just doesn't present good value. I should've stayed away and stuck to...
🇬🇧The most overpriced sushi I've ever eaten. Mediocre sushi. Uramakis are good, nigiri are pretty average, whilst the tempura rice wasn't very good. The rice should have arrived quite warm, but it wasn't at all. But the biggest problem is that, at this price, a premium service is usually expected. Quite frankly, you can't charge €70 for three tiny things and a bit of ginger on the side.
Also, I find it quite ironic that you still get charged for 'coperto' (which is paid per person), despite the food is delivered to you, thus there is no real 'coperto' (ie. in-person sitting and dining) whatsoever. Very...

Decent fish quality. Rice felt slightly undercooked but I am guessing that was on purpose to match how Italians cook their pasta.
My wife and I visited here for lunch. We got 7 pieces of nigiri, 1 handroll sushi, 2 rolls, and a small bowl of ramen. All of them were of good quality. Nothing was exceptional but also no major disappointment.
One waiter was serving all 8 tables, and she looked a bit overwhelmed. After our order arrived, it took us a good 10 min or so until we could ask for wasabi. We were also unable to grab her attention to get some more water during our meal. I dont think it is her fault though - the restaurant probably should hire one...
