Gusto' Bistrot Spello — Restaurant in Spello

Had the lasagna and tasted great but the size was very very small. I asked the owner and she said it's costs a lot to make and I should have asked how big the size was!! The menu only had one size and it was tiny, owner then had an attitude and really didn't care beyond that. Waitress told the cook and they both had a good laugh. So I would not come back and would not recommend it at all. I know the owner will post a comment to this as she has done with others, but you can read the reviews yourself she can't remove them. Very cute ambient spot next to Chiesa Sant' Andrea with outdoor tables. The spot is always full when I walk by nightly. Looks to be family owned with everyone pitching in. The menu has good selection of local wine and beer. I ordered the special of the day, snails in sauce and tagliatelle with Chianina beef ragu. The pasta was excellent coated in just enough sauce and meat. The triangle shaped pasta (I forget the name of the pasta type), tasted freshly made. The snails were also delicious and fresh but a bit heavy on the sauce for my preference. We were super hungry, ordered a lasagna, meatballs and eggplants. The food took around 35-40 minutes to arrive..portions were very very small. We didn’t want to order more since it took forever to get the food. It was overpriced and it just made the entire experience disappointing. The only silver lining is the atmosphere, but that’s because Spello is a wonderful little town. I do not recommend unfortunately.
