I'm not Italian, so I therefore have no claim to convictions about whether any of the food was "authentic" (as some reviewers seem to be so annoyingly obsessed with). However, I am a person who has grown his own vegetables for 25+ years, and also someone who has traveled Italy extensively, so I certainly don't feel that my review is made out of ignorance. But let me start by saying how friendly and courteous the staff was. My broken Italian was met with English, but in a helpful (not patronizing) way. It was after 21:00 on a Sunday night, and I immediately felt welcome. What a pleasant way to start a meal! I ordered the mixed salad, "Insalatona Old Pig," and the server cautioned me that it was big. I asked if they could do half. No problem. The “half” was still easily enough for two people. All this, plus a basket of bread, a large bottle of water, and two delicious glasses of house red (extremely generous pours, by the way) came to 25 Euro. I won't need to eat again for a day. :) Excellent food, reasonable price, nice people. I look forward...

The pizza was mediocre at best and the waitstaff tried to overcharge my card. After asking about the bill, she gave me 2 euros back, but I think I was overcharged more than that. Maybe it's just because it's festival week, but I would...
Read moreThe service was wonderful. The gluten free pizza was awful, inedible. There was no flavor and it was raw. Frozen pizza is better flavor. They were kind enough to offer ciccoria as a replacement, but even that tasted like boiled weeds, and I love cicoria. The highlight of the meal was store bought bread and bottled water. Unfortunately, I would never recommend it, and I was really looking forward to...
