Ristorante Charleston — Restaurant in Stresa

My wife and I came to this restaurant tonight for dinner without any expectations and we were pleasantly impressed. To put into context our review we had dined the previous night at a Michelin three star restaurant. We are also frequent diners at many Michelin star restaurants around the world and we Pride ourselves on being foodies when we travel. To start off the ambiance and decor of the restaurant was very pretty. It’s not a modern restaurant with modern decor, but it takes you back to a time where you feel like you’re sitting in an important restaurant in Italy. The decor and ambiance was warm and welcoming without being uptight. Having dined the night before at a famous three star Michelin restaurant I can tell you that our service was above that of a Michelin three star restaurant. While the restaurant lacked, some of the uptight strict formalities that you would find in a Michelin star restaurant, the friendliness, casualness and personality of our waiter and his desire to go above and beyond to make the evening memorable was amazing. Service was over the top and perfect. We found the food to be delicious. the service to be 10 out of 10 and everything about the place would want to make me come back again. If you’re in Stash, I highly recommend you give this restaurant a try. The flavours on the menu were unique and delicious. The options for both meat eaters and vegetarians was great and you’ll be treated with respect and your business here greatly appreciate it. It’s so nice in this day and age to go to a restaurant where you are treated and feel as if you are wanted as opposed to going to a restaurant where they make you feel that you’re lucky to be eating at their restaurant. Two dishes that I think we’re actually the best that I ever had was the duck as well as the crêpes flambé. Wine selection was very reasonably priced local and delicious. I would put this on my go to list of restaurants to suggest to friends and visitors...

Abbiamo provato il ristorante Charleston, dopo aver chiesto ben tre volte la riservazione di un tavolo, al momento della cena il personale di sala era totalmente ignaro della prenotazione effettuata alla reception. La cena è stato un disastro, oltre a toglierci i petali dei gerani dalle sedie e tavolo, la qualità del cibo è stata molto scadente. Il menù era misero e super expensive. Come antipasto c’è stato presentato del paté servito con le posate sporche. Abbiamo preso un filetto al sangue, ma c’è stato portato un pezzo di carne non identificato scongelato e messo sulla piastra…un incubo…accompagnato da un salsina di pesche oscena e zucchine in padella acide. Abbiamo deciso di prendere un dolce, ma non esisteva nessun menù dei dolci…follia. I camerieri si sono presentati con un carrello dei dolci stile pizzeria con tre dolci invernali (torta al cioccolato congelata, torta di mele e creme caramel). Abbiamo chiesto una carta dei formaggi… allora c’è stato il panico per i camerieri e la cucina…dopo mezz’ora sono arrivati una “ selezione di Formaggi” che sembravano stati appena acquistati dal supermarket. Per ultimo abbiamo chiesto un caffè, l’unico cosa buona, ma pensavamo fosse accompagnato almeno da un cioccolatino, come fanno anche i peggiori bar di periferia. CENA DA DIMENTICARE. Meglio la pizzeria in centro...

We ordered the tomahawk steak for two. The waiter brought it to the side of the table, sliced it perfectly and plated up right in front of our eyes.
