AllumettesCaffe — Restaurant in Syracuse

The menu is very small, which sometimes is a good thing… We sat outside and ordered a double macchiato, an Americano, a bun de cardamomo & yogurt with granola and fruit. We wanted to order some fresh juice which is easily found all around Sicily however, this place did not offer that. The coffees were excellent, but food was not impressive. The granola was burnt. The bun was acceptable but forgettable. The ambience left a lot to be desired as there were cars whizzing by pretty closely and noise from nearby...

It’s difficult to find breakfast in Sicily not comprised of coffee and a pastry. Not that ☕️🥐 is bad, but it does get old after a while.

In comes Allunettes Cafe. Both excellent coffee and a small menu of breakfast and light lunch options that would be at home in any big city trendy cafe. Can’t speak highly enough of the breakfast eggs. Insane. Espresso drinks were excellently pulled. As soon as breakfast was finished we all wanted a round two.

I just wish I found this place before my last day in...

If you want to eat a real, really tasty breakfast, you should come here. Don’t take a risk, just come directly. It was the most delicious breakfast I’ve had here. Everything was super fresh and I think homemade. I ate scrambled eggs and a scone. The eggs were fantastic, the bread on the side was amazing, and the scone was the best I’ve ever eaten in my life. And the Americano was a real Americano, just like in Sicily. I loved it. I wish this sweet little shop existed...
