Best arancini in Siracusa! There are arancini of various fillings, such as pistachio, but the traditional ragu one is my absolute favourite - you can tell it by its tear shape - all others are balls. They also have great deserts and of course, granita and ice-cream. Ice cream is also insanely good - not the beautiful looking mountain shaped and decorated ice-creams for the tourists - in fact you can't even see the ice-creams as they are in the canisters with lids. Its an ice-cream one can call an ice-cream. Don't get put off by the look of the place, if the good food is what you are after. A traditional italian eatery with benches and a few tables and have been popular with locals since its establishment in 1981!

We tried lots of different arancinis while we were visiting Syracuse. I have to say this place is definitely TOP 1 on the list. The rice balls don’t feel too heavy in the stomach and they’re not oily as in other shops. If you need recommendations: definitely try the ragù and the pistachio/riccota one. The staff is very friendly and very helpful. They also accept card. It’s a must visit if you want to try traditional Sicilian cuisine!

On our way back to Siracuse, after a long day spent on the island of Ortigia, decided to go to the most sought arancini place. We were not disappointed, on the contrary we were amazed by the simple two arancini's (spinach and prosciutto) and also the small pizza. As someone who has never tried arancini before, these rice balls gave me my first Sicilian mouthgasm. The melted cheese with the flavour of prosciutto was really delicious!
