I came across this resto based on reviews last week. I must admit I totally enjoy the place, the food and how the staff were working together.

Fari may be a bit intimidating at first with so many pasta options, luckily the staff (speaking decent english) were helpful to find out what we need. All their pasta are made on-site and fresh. Also, kudo to the staff for recommending their tiramisu (omg!).

I used to work in a resto long ago, I can tell that this cook knows how to cook! She was a real pro: verifying how al-dente the pasta were and thickening the sauce to perfection. I had tortellini and returned a different day to try their carbonara. I did not regret it!

Price-wise, Fari is very affordable; food price vs quality is hard to beat. Just be aware that you need to order at the counter and they don't have restroom.

Side note, they also do pasta making classes. Sadly, their time table didn't fit my schedule; but if you want to learn, have a look at their offering. I wish I could have taken it to improve my home made pasta!

Beside that, take a glass of local wine (or even a craft beer!) while enjoying the fully opened kitchen. Watch the show and enjoy the food!

I would return if I have the chance without...

Sicily #24, Siracusa #4, Italian #12, Pasta #3: this was by far my favorite meal in Siracusa/Ortigia (and maybe all of Sicily?). Had their hours been different, we definitely would have eaten here at least three times.

We ordered the porcini pappardelle x2, bolognese tagliatelle x2, carbonara, and a tuna pasta I don't have pictures/video of. We also ordered a bottle of red and few glasses of white and red, too.

My absolute favorite was the carbonara (as was another person's in my group). My second favorite was the porcini pappardelle, and the rest of the group's favorite was the bolognese.

I would come back for all of the above, but I really want to try their tortellini next time!

The chef/owner was very busy, but still took the time to speak with us as she cooked. The vibe inside and otu are both excellent. It just depends if you'd like to watch the food be prepared or dine al fresco.

Prices are very reasonable both for the food and for the wine/drinks. I am getting hungry writing this review and see pasta in my...

Came here as I read the reviews but I left very disappointed. We were a large table of 8 people.. we called before to book a table and when we showed up - we did not have a table inside but were expected to sit at the bar as there are no tables inside (this should have been communicated on the phone when i booked) - the staff ignored us for a good 5 mins before someone said hello (yes they were busy but avoiding eye contact is rude.. a simple 'give me a minute or two' would have been appreciated. Seating outside was very very crammed but we managed to put a few tables together ourselves. I tried to order 10 plates and 4 were not available from their limited menu, and when ordering I was told only 1 portion of tomatoes left.. how on earth does a restaurant in such a busy area in sicily not keep fresh ingredients stocked if they are so busy? Then we were provided paper plates which with hot food almost collapsed when ewe were collecting our food. Very mediocre food - it was good but...

Great fresh pasta. The cacio e pepe and the filled ravioli was great! They have an open kitchen which is nice to see. The seating outside was too tight for my taste, all tables were connected and everyone had to get up if a new person wanted to sit. That could be arranged better. I didn’t give 5 stars even the food deserved it because the staff was irritating to me. People in front of us in line asked to mix pasta or to have a specific pasta with a different sauce than it had on the menu and the staff was quite strickt in rejecting anything like that which didn’t make that much sense to me since everything is prepared freshly and you could charge them for changes to the menu. Apparently you can only have it like they set on the menu.
