I came in here last week with my family after visiting the amphitheaters in Syracuse. I had a pizza, I think it was called the Romana, which was amazing. The base was delicious and very light dough, but also soft and fresh. I was particularly interested in how they made their sauce because it was thinner than what we get here in the UK - I think it might be a more traditional method - and I actually believe the way Sakania makes sauce is much better. It was amazing, honestly, words cannot describe how much I enjoyed this pizza. The service was excellent and the waitress who served us spoke near perfect English and was absolutely wonderful. I told her my Italian was very bad and she said 'It doesn't matter if you speak bad Italian, just that you eat good Italian food!' I will always remember her for saying that and how lovely she was. The chefs said goodbye and thank you also which is always a nice experience. I've been home in England a day and I'll never forget this place. I left a review on trip advisor also but wanted to leave a review here too because they deserve it. Definitely go and eat here, you will not be disappointed....

The drinks were great. The service was good

On paying the bill I went into restaurant and saw chef with a bag of frozen chips and a frozen pizza base box near the pizza oven.
Despite this the pizza base tasted good, it is the toppings that...
Read moreWe were looking for good places to eat mainly on the Isola de Ortigia — the historical site — and the best meal we had in Syracuse was so close to our hotel we almost missed it. The steak plate is big and was shared with my husband, along with an Insalata Millecolori — mixed green salad with zucchini, tomatoes, muzzarella and eggplant. Vegetables!!! 🙌🏻 Delicious! The service was nice, courteous and always with a smile....
