Il Cortese 1989 — Restaurant in Syracuse

Very odd experience at this cafe. I came in with a group of 4, and originally was pleased with the atmosphere. We are students at the academy of Syracuse across the street from this cafe, and opted to come here for lunch and to do our work. Three out of the four people in my group ordered lunch and a coffee, and as we are sitting there nursing our drinks, the waitress comes up to us and tells us we have to leave because other people need the table for lunch, but we were welcomed to sit outside. I don’t think this was appropriate considering we were all paying customers, and still in the middle of finishing our drinks, while doing our work. We had only been at the table for an hour, but as paying customers, we have a right to enjoy our food/beverage and use our computers at the table. Also, there was a table of 6 directly across from us, with empty coffee mugs, and simply just talking at the table. They were doing the exact same thing we were doing, minus the laptops we had opened for work. Obvious discrimination but that’s nothing new...

Durante mi reciente visita a Siracusa, descubrí este encantador bar que me dejó completamente maravillada. Es el lugar perfecto para comenzar el día con un desayuno increíble. Las granizadas son de otro mundo, refrescantes y llenas de sabor natural, el complemento ideal para disfrutar bajo el sol siciliano.

Los platos salados, dios! Los arancini que sirven aquí son, sin duda, los mejores de toda Siracusa. Perfectamente crujientes por fuera y con un relleno delicioso y sabroso que me hizo volver por más. ¡Una verdadera joya culinaria!

Y si tienes un antojo de algo dulce, no te pierdas las raviolas de chocolate, ricotta y crema. Son tan exquisitas que cada bocado es un auténtico placer. Sin duda, los mejores que he probado en Siracusa.

El ambiente acogedor y el personal amable hacen que la experiencia sea aún más agradable. Si estás en Siracusa, no puedes dejar de visitar este bar. ¡Te garantizo que querrás regresar...

Wir wollten eigentlich etwas Essen. Es sah aber nicht so lecker aus. Dafür hätte ich keine Rezension geschrieben. Allerdings war das Personal (zwei verschiedene Personen) so arrogant, dass fand ich einfach unnötig. Wir sprechen ein bisschen italienisch und sind geduldig und freundlich. Aber hier waren wir scheinbar nicht erwünscht. Weil man schon betteln musste, um überhaupt etwas bestellen zu dürfen, hab ich nur noch einen Cappuccino bestellt. Der war in Ordnung. Ich hätte gerne eine Crema di Caffè gehabt, aber die Maschine stand still, obwohl sie gefüllt war. Die Ränder waren eingetrocknet. Das war mir zu riskant.

Zum bezahlen musste man wieder betteln und geduldig sein. Obwohl nichts los war in dem Laden. Schade.
