This Ristorante is located at the end of TAORMINA. You need to use stairs to get inside. It has a big terrace where you have a wonderful view at the sea, the volcano "Etna" or the square of the City (village).
A wine list is not existing! This is very important in case that you want to drink wine.
We have asked for wine bottles and got shown one white wine packed into paper. When I have asked for the price in this simple Ristorante I got a shock. The offered price was 100 € !
I have rejected it. Later I got offered a bottle Chardonnay from Sicily : " PRINCIPI DI BUTERA" at a price of 28 €.
The taste was good and the price was acceptable.
We also ordered fresh TUNA Tartare charged with 18 €. The taste was good.
The other main was SPADA "MESSINESE" ( Swordfish prepared with Tomatoes, Olives, Capers). It was fresh and of good taste as well.
The service was friendly and attentive. COPERTO FOR TWO: 5 €
Credit cards were accepted.
My subjective rating: Price and value for money: 4 Stars Ambiance: 3 Stars Service: 3-4 Stars Location: 4 Stars View from the terrace: 4 Stars Quality and preparation of meals: 4 Stars

Read moreWe spent a week in Taormina and this was the place that stood out. The food was outstanding. I had the Swordfish rolls for main and the fisherman's bruschetta for starter. Comparing it to other menus in the town I think it displayed a great deal of flair. My partner was equally impressed with her pasta and bruschetta. The tiramisu knocked spots off the places in town.
The atmosphere was lovely even though it was night so didn't benefit from the amazing view to sea. The place has its own atmosphere independent of that though. Nice lighting and music. 😊
The staff were first class and to the man who took our baby around to hand out menus and greet guests you provided us with some of the happiest memories ever.

Read moreThe restaurant made a great first impression - while waiting for a table we were sat in a waiting room and greeted with a small glass of Prosecco. Unfortunately the impression faded after we were seated. We ordered antipasti for which we waited about 30 minutes, and main courses which took almost an additional hour to be prepared. That’s about 90 minutes of simply waiting. We never received information about extended waiting time and never received any explanation after the fact. We even asked what’s going on and were promised to get the food in 5 minutes only to wait additional 20. At the end - the food was great, and I totally understand that delays happen, but when you pay 100+ EUR for a two people meal, there’s more to...
