Let's face it, Taormina has a LOT of places where you can enjoy a quality meal...
...and in our time here, THIS has been the place to go. No, it isn''t on the Corso Umberto (so you'll save some € right off the top), and it is not a large restaurant - so your food HAS to be just right or they couldn't survive. Not only are they surviving, they are THRIVING, because their food is so good!
We'd read about the Swordfish with a pumpkin and fennel sauce on another review - my wife had that and it was astounding. The morsels of swordfish were bite sized, tender, and oh, so flavorful! Yes, this is definitely one of their signature dishes - although our waitress (fluent in English) advised her to get a side dish to complement her order - she went with grilled vegetables, which turned out to be the perfect accompaniment. My Linguine con Fruta Di Mare was spectacular. Mouth watering to look at, it was loaded with morsels of squid, mussels, clams and shrimp. The flavors each stood out - Fantastic!
Whatever you choose to have, DO save room for dessert! Their tiramisu is without a doubt, among the top three i've ever had. ...

We turned up without a booking and they said wait and they will get us a table which they did after 10 mins.
The waiter we had was so helpful and explained all the dishes in English for us and we went with his recommendation and boy did he have taste!
We had the mussels to start which were the best both of us had ever had, and the prawn pasta for main and that was an absolute show stopper. It’s the most technically perfect dish I have ever eaten, every flavour complimented each other perfectly. Finally we had the tiramisu as it’s the name of the restaurant and that was the best I’ve ever eaten. We also ordered the pistachio panna cotta which it’s the best desert I’ve ever had but I do have a slight obsession with pistachio.
Also whilst here a Sicilian folk band started performing and it was just so good.
The staff were also very friendly and attentive.
Anyway the bottom line is I’m sad as I don’t think this experience will ever be beaten for the rest of my life!
Do yourself a favour and go here just...

My mom (who is famously unhappy with most dishes) said this is the best pasta dish ever! (She had the Tagliatelle Mare, which was a seafood with flat pasta in a very aromatic flavorful mushroom sauce) If you only knew my mother, this would be the highest of praises. If we could give them 10 stars for her dish, we would.
I ordered the grouper pasta, which was only ok because I am not a fan of fish as a protein source and thought raisins and pistachio might be good, but the taste was too exotic for me.
I tried a bite of her dish and it was good. Too bad we were in a rush so we couldn't enjoy things. Their bathroom has a single sliding door on the left side of the restaurant that leads to a sink. To the left of the sink is a door for the men's toilet and right side of the sink is the door to women's toilet.
Didn't have time for dessert or coffee because we were in a rush. Wait staff was a bit uppity but maybe it was just the...
