During my visit to Rosticceria Da Cristina 2, I was looking forward to enjoying their highly-rated Sicilian cuisine. Unfortunately, the experience fell short of expectations. We ordered Pasta Norma, Octopus Salad, and traditional Sicilian Eggplant Parmigiano. All the dishes were mediocre, lacking the depth of flavor and finesse I anticipated from such a reputed establishment.
The overall ambiance felt more like an expensive cafeteria rather than a place that celebrates Sicilian culinary traditions. The meals, served on paper plates, did little to elevate the dining experience. With a total bill of EUR 33 for the three meals, two waters, and two espressos to go, the value for money was questionable.
As a food enthusiast, I understand that not every dining experience can be a hit. However, given the high ratings and reputation, this visit was definitely a miss, leaving us disappointed and underwhelmed. It's a reminder that sometimes, even well-rated places can have...
Read moreI visited this store this afternoon and had a terrible experience. I was locked inside the toilet and only managed to get out after I kicked the door to make enough noise for the suspicious waiter to come and open it. That moment was very frightening for me.
Here’s what happened: I had been inside the toilet for no more than five minutes when someone knocked on the door twice. I clearly and loudly replied, “Someone is inside.” Shortly after, I found myself locked in.
When I finally got out, the store owner—an elderly man—told me, “Go away.” Excuse me? Your staff (or you) locked me in the toilet, and I have every right to address what happened before leaving. This is how you treat customers? If it isn’t outright poor service and lack of basic management, it borders on discrimination.
Such disgusting behavior. If a restaurant can treat customers this way, how can anyone trust the...
Read moreLoved this place, we were a bit late getting lunch (2:30 ish) and many restaurants were closing: so glad we walked in here. You are greeted by a big glass display case with a great variety of Sicilian “street food” (I guess that’s the best word to describe it): pizza, arancini, panini-looking items, pasta, eggplant, sausage, veal, and much more that we didn’t have a chance to try.
Everything we did try was delicious. Especially the arancini, which they have 6 flavors of, the pasta casserole, and the eggplant casserole. Would come back again for delicious...
