We were visiting Trapani, and wanted to dine here. We were there on a Friday evening around 7:30 pm. We were waiting at the door for some one to acknowledge us. One waitress was serving one couple seated in the entire place, all other tables were unoccupied. Eventually, a person who seemed like the owner of the restaurant came to speak with us. We do not know much Italian, we were using google translation to ask for a table for two in Italian. This lady shows us the menu and proceeds to say 'no table'. This was hard to believe as all other tables were unoccupied. We thanked her and left. As we were leaving, two more people entered, who were seated immediately. All the food we tasted was well cooked and not too "overengineered" - they like to keep things simple and tasty, with sutfficiently sized portions. The waiting times were acceptable. The beautiful marine-inspired decor of the place and the attentive staff add to the overall cosy mediterranean atmosphere. Well...

However we were quite disappointed with the food. I had wanted to try the Trapanese cous cous since we arrived so I ordered that and was disappointed to be served a huge pile of couscous with one solitary prawn and four bits of fried calamari. It was my understanding that the trapanese couscous usually has more seafood. It felt like a side dish and not a main course. My partner ordered the trapanese pasta which was OK but we had better...
