Antica Osteria Ai Carraresi — Restaurant in Treviso

Simply amazing small restaurant in historical center of Treviso, close to the main square. Found this place accidentally, tried, and then returned on the next evening for more. Cutlet Milanese was delicious, and special mention goes to the side dish - home style fried potatoes, which was a thing of its own kind: I think I have never eaten fried potato that tasty. Next time, I had stewed veal shank with tomato sauce, and that was mindblowing. Soft, with delicate, rich taste, it melts in your mouth. The sauce was superb, and included fresh bread was really handy to pick it up from the plate till the very last drop. Grilled vegetables were also top notch. All food was served hot and tasted like it was indeed served directly from the stove. Wine selection is not big, but well-made, and of good vine producers. The service was quick, and the lady who served meal for us was super nice. All in all, it's a great place, and I will surely go here again if I ever be in...

Nel mio umile parere uno dei ristoranti migliori di Treviso, nella mia top 3 sicuramente! Quando voglio mangiare bene, quando viene qualcuno a trovarmi da fuori o quando qualcuno mi chiede dove andare a mangiare qualcosa di tipico la mia risposta è sempre “Osteria Ai Carraresi”. Un luogo che racchiude nella sua semplicità tutta la sua forza.

Un’osteria bella e curata, che fa percepire anche solo guardandola dall’esterno un’atmosfera tranquilla, di casa. Tavoli sia all’interno che all’esterno (super consigliato mangiare fuori con una bella giornata), menú che va dagli antipasti ai dolci e vini molto buoni.

La cucina di quest’osteria mi lascia incredibilmente colpita ogni volta, il saor sembra quello che fa mia nonna e ogni piatto mi lascia quella sensazione di pranzo in famiglia. È la cucina autentica, genuina, con ingredienti di qualità che si sentono in ogni singola preparazione. Ormai ho assaggiato quasi tutto il menú (fisso, perché poi ci sono anche i fuori menú del giorno - da provare) e non ho trovato niente che non fosse buonissimo! Persino piatti che mi hanno sempre lasciata indifferente in tutta la loro storia e tipicità, come i bigoli in salsa, sono riusciti a stupirmi!

Dalla carne, al pesce, ai dolci (tutti fatti in casa da loro) si sente la materia prima buona e soprattutto la mano di chi la sa preparare e cuocere alla perfezione, come lo si farebbe a casa propria, senza pastrocci.

Piatti tipici, piatti moderni, combinazioni gustose e sorprendenti fuori menú vengono impiattati in maniera tanto semplice quanto bella e serviti con un tempismo impeccabile. La professionalità è di casa così come la gentilezza, troverete un servizio attento e mai invadente, personale e titolare davvero incredibili.

Inoltre, in mezzo a tanti locali in centro che se la tirano per niente questo spicca eccome, rapporto qualità/prezzo imbattibile.

Ai Carraresi mi sento sempre a casa e mangio sempre bene, non potrei consigliare nessun posto più di questo, 5 stelle...

Great cuisine, cosy atmosphere, competent staff at a reasonable price. I'm a local native and I recommend this place. Edit 14/09/19: second visit at this incredible restaurant and, boy, has it been worth it? The food is simply spectacular. Prices seem to have gone up a little bit but, man, the quality of the food is simply stellar and it'll make you forget about anything else. If you've never tried this place out, you most definitely should, you'd be doing yourself a major favour. 6 stars...
