We have never been so disappointed or disrespected at any restaurant, ever. My wife and I have both grown up working in restaurants and understand service. We are on vacation and were looking forward to a nice meal in Treviso. I’ll say again, we have never been so disappointed or disrespected at any restaurant, ever. We arrived only to find that the inside of the restaurant smelled like a marijuana shop and was extra hot, so we chose to sit outside. After we got caught in a rainstorm, we asked to move inside and were assured that the AC was turned on. As we sat our second table, there was a screaming infant at the table next to us. We asked to change to a quieter table in another room. The staff agreed. Our third table was OK, yet our food was horrible. My wife ordered the gnocchi, and I ordered the lamb. Her gnocchi was cold and I received raw beef, not lamb. The waitress was obviously upset with us and the bus boy was the only good human in the restaurant. Come to the end of our meal only to get the bill with a 14€ table charge. When we confronted the owner, we were told that it was because we changed tables. We protested the triple coperto charge and the owner was clearly mad with us. Most likely because there were no customers in the restaurant, and we asked to have the AC on and move away from a screaming child. Nasty owner and horrible experience. We do NOT recommend anyone visit this...
Read moreVery original concept, where the dishes come in small pots. We were looking for something not so heavy for dinner, and Gustolia was a great recommendation. You may find there salads, small dishes, some pasta, fish dishes, and burratas. I went for burrata with lime and salmon, and it was really fresh, with the perfect creamy burrata. I would say that the portion of fish to the burrata was a bit unbalanced, but still very good. I had an amazing and spicy tomato juice, that should be more promoted, because it is really special and delicious. For the dessert we shared pistachio and hazelnut mousse (which are typically my favourite flavours in ice creams) and strawberry cheesecake. The first one disappointed a bit - the texture was good and had some crunchyness, but the flavours were a bit artificial. On the other side, the cheesecake, which we thought would be 'OK', was actually really surprising, with fresh strawberries and the cookie cake was like some brownie or big chunks of cookies. Really special! The environment and vibe of the place are welcoming, young and it was full of...
Read moreUnfortunately we were a bit disappointed with our dinner experience. The (very young) waiter was sweet but completely clueless...had no idea how much the wine cost (there's no drinks menu, so you'd expect them to have some idea of prices), didn't pour the wine, served food without having first cleared the plates from the previous course. The food was ok but portions were on the small side and we waited a long time (we were seated at 8:30 and mains arrived at 9:40). The place itself is very pretty but the overall experience wasn't amazing, I feel like the host could have lent a hand to his young and obviously...
