Trattoria Alla Colomba — Restaurant in Treviso

We were hoping for a traditional, local restaurant experience, but this place was just not good. The service was friendly and we had no trouble with the bill or overcharging, but the food was terrible. Terrible! We probably should have been concerned when we came in to an empty restaurant and there was already cut bread on every table...

We ordered bresaola and arugula-stuffed ravioli and shrimp-stuffed mezzaluna (called something else on the menu) but were served two plates of ricotta-filled pasta with bland tomato sauce served on a bed of arugula (the shrimp)/iceberg lettuce (the bresaola). We were so confused that we asked for confirmation that the order was correct and were assured that it was. There is no way that this was handmade stuffed pasta as advertised - the two were identically bland and my husband, who is allergic to shrimp, ate one of my "shrimp" ones and had no problems.

We also ordered a contorni of peas (which are in season) and got an inedible, overcooked greasy plate of peas. We couldn't eat these and just left.

I hope the locals get served better food here, because what we got was an embarrassment to the cuisine...

Both of us enjoyed Osso Buco served with spinach, peas and spuds, a very nice bottle of local red wine and a coffee to finish. Very attentive staff particularly the waiter. No tourists there last night all Italians but then again there are very few tourists in Treviso which is a lovely town where we have thoroughly...

Trattoria storica nel cuore di Treviso. L'ambiente è costituito da una sala unica con bancone a lato ingresso e circa una quindicina di tavoli (50/60 coperti max). Il menù è casereccio e non si limita alla tradizione veneta (vedi ad esempio primi come tortelli cacio e pepe, o secondi come l'ossobuco). Le porzioni sono abbondanti e gustose. Il servizio è rapidissimo, forse anche troppo. Infatti siamo arrivati alle 20.30, abbiamo ordinato primo e secondo, ed alle 21.00 avevamo già terminato tutto con una certa pressione messa dalla cameriera. Ci è sembrato un servizio più da menù fisso a pranzo per chi ha solo 1 ora di pausa... In ultimo il prezzo (16€ i 2 primi, 18€ i 2 secondi, oltre 2 contorni, 1/2 litro di vino della casa, 1 litro di acqua e 2 caffè ) 48€ a testa.
