Lido azzurro — Restaurant in Tropea

Our favorite Lido in Tropea. Very clean and organized. The staff was amazing 👏 👏 . Always smiling, forthcoming, polite, helpful and very proactive. We spend the day at the beach and had lunch at their restaurant with a beautiful sea view, and repetead the next day. The food was delicious. In particular I recommend the tunna tartar, the pasta con alici and zafferano and the trio of Tropea Onion. We tasted other dishes as well and they were all very tasty. We walked into this restaurant and saw several empty tables with a sea view. However, they tried to seat my husband and me in the middle of the restaurant, claiming that the tables by the edge were “reserved” and that we would have to wait 20 minutes. We decided to go to the restaurant right next door, where we were warmly welcomed and immediately seated at a sea-view table. Foreign tourists, avoid this place — you will not...

The food is average. Be so careful with the meal they offered lik a ,,shefs special,,. It is not on the meniu, and nor the meal nor the price is mentioned anywhere. So it might happend that you would pay for ordinary spagetthi with some tomatoes 24 € like us do 🤣🤣 and it's not about the monney. It's about that ethics and food culture. But for now restourant stuf treat you like a stooped tourist....
