The young chef convinced me with quality ingredients, well balanced flavor and solid cooking skills. The involtini di melanzane was very soft and light which made me forget my diet immediately. The sweared tuna was really done well with fresh ingredients. It was cooked so well and so tender that it seemed to melt in my mouth. I usually eat tonno crudo to avoid overcooked tuna. But this one was fantastic! Tender fish was accompanied with local sweet onions, fresh tomatoes and Balsamico that brought out sensory sweetness and pleasant sourness. I can imagine it would be even better in autumn when tomatoes are in good season. Zuppa di spada was also very nice for my taste, light and fresh. It was just “my cup of soup”. From the food prepared you can see la passione e l’amore per la cucina dello chef. The process begins by incorporating the best and freshest ingredients and using precise cooking techniques that highlight the quality of the food and the talents of the chef. The service was also more than lovely. I had great conversations with them and people from other tables. Great food and lovely conversations together made a perfect night. Buonissimo, bellissimo e benisimo! Grazie...
Read moreNice looking place located in a basement of an old building, feels like a cavern. I had to ask for another table because the bright LED lights they have there were shining right into my eyes. The service was friendly and attentive. After we got re-seated it turned out they don't have house wine. So you have to buy one of their more expensive bottles. Or beer but they had only one kind and bottles only. Their website is rather misleading there. We had black pig tender loin, grilled tuna and a tomato onion salad. The tender loin was overcooked and lacking flavor, the tuna was shredded and drowned with much raw onion and raw tomatoes and the salad was actually a big pile of sliced raw red onions with tomato pieces on top. I was hungry and tore into the food and unfortunately forgot to take pictures. So, the food was terrible. Also, for the whole time there was a creepy lady sitting 10 feet away from us doing nothing but staring at me with a hateful face. It was the owner of the place or a member of their family. I think they have a good concept but leadership and chef need to take a step back and think about...
Read moreIn one word, WOW! First of all the entrance, beautiful interior, very tasteful! The staff is very friendly and helpful and speaks English. The food was exceptionally good. Never had a tartare that was so tasteful! The spices and additives were a balanced entity. The Salomon with crusts and delicious sauce was heavenly. The meat was tender and the garniture on the plate was balanced. The fish was really fresh and the batter was perfectly thin. Also the salad and the potato wedges were very tasty. The accompanying wine was perfect! Unfortunately we can't give 6 stars, but what an underestimated restaurant is this! Thanks chef for the delicious dishes you served us and thanks for the really friendly staff. Keep up...
