Salutami a Sorita | Ristorante Pizzeria — Restaurant in Tropea

I was with my family and with my baby at this restaurant. When the waiter come first for the drinks we told him to take even the order for our son of 2 yrs old -pasta carbonara without the pancetta(bacon). They said ok. After some minutes they come for our order of fish and seafood. We repeat them the order for our son and they said they already send the order to make it. We waited 40 minutes and nothing. Soon after we started to ask for our son. They told us that it’s in prepare. Guess what, they bring us our food. And our son pasta still not ready. The fish pasta, risotto and other 2 meals was ready before a pasta with egg. I mean, how hard can be. After one hour nothing. We asked (we count) 8 times. At one point I went to complain to them and ask them if I can cook that pasta because it’s not that hard. Not to remind that all other people recive their meal. But not our son. After they said that was a mistake between the waiter and the cooker and it’s still in order to be ready, we asked for the bill. And again, they thought and make a mistake putting the “carbona pasta” of 10€ on the bill. Even if it wasn’t ready and we didn’t receive a proper costumer service. Another minus it’s that they forget about u if u don’t go after the waiters and it’s so crowd. Even for Covid situation. I do not recommend it. Generally we didn’t like the fish and the pasta that they make( not a different taste from a normal restaurant in any other country but Italy). If you are looking for an authentical taste and good service you can find it at 1 minutes away from this “restaurant” (I am being nice here) and go straight to a very nice, panoramic view restaurant named IL CORALLONE TROPEA. If you want a great place and great value for your money, then you definitely need to eat here at SALUTAMI A SORITA…… The food, the atmosphere, the staff are amazing, always laughing and putting a smile on your face. This restaurant is literally 50 feet away from the steps leading down to the ocean whether you are hungry or just want one of their desserts and coffee this is the place to stop…… ANDREA Is one of the nicest individuals you can possibly meet, He is not only the owner. He also works there and you can see that he treats his staff like Gold and to us that means the world, especially when you’re going to a place where you are eating, spending your money and seeing the hospitality at its finest.

We have the pleasure of eating care on two different occasions during our stay in Calabria Tropea and would definitely go back the next time we are in Tropea

We ate here our first night, and loved it. We came back here after a week of going to restaurants that had 4.5 star ratings, because in our opinion… this was still one of the best spots. I don’t even understand why ppl wrote bad reviews here. They treat tourists and Italians a-like… which cannot be said for a lot of the restaurants in Tropea (A lot of places we went to, treat Italians better and serve them first). The restaurant was completely full today, but the service was quick and perfect. The food was amazing… we had seafood antipasti, gnocchi with pomodoro, and a seafood pasta with tuna....
