Nonna rosa Bistrot — Restaurant in Tropea

We visited this restaurant yesterday. When we arrived, we were impressed by the beautiful location. Despite the expensive items on the menu, we were excited to try the food.

However, we ended up waiting 1 hour and 50 minutes before the first four dishes finally arrived. After about 10 minutes of waiting for our fifth friend’s meal, we decided to start eating so that our food wouldn’t get cold. By the time our friend received her dish, we had almost finished ours.

Unfortunately, the food was really disappointing and not high quality. The risotto had a watery taste. The fish was tough. The ricotta ravioli (5 pieces for 20€) was grainy and served with bright fluorescent green foam that had no...

I usually don't write bad reviews but today i was really disappointed. I ordered the tuna which was supposed to come with some salad. The amount of salad i got was so little that it was actually non existent. Also the risotto with gamberi had actually one (!!!) shrimp which was cut into three pieces. Not to mention the fiori di zucchini which weren't there. The taste of the food was good and the ambiente was nice but for the amount we paid just really not reasonable. The staff was ok but didn't seem very motivated at all. I had way better experiences at other restaurants in the area and would never ever go there again. Location and setting is frankly quite nice. Wine was good as well!

Unfortunately I have never had such a terrible pizza in my entire life (I'm not even from Italy), and given the reaction of other customers, neither did they. This was way worse than any cheap frozen pizza bought at a discount supermarket. The entire pizza dough/crust was almost uncuttable with a steak knife and more than 50% of the pizza dough/crust was burnt (including under the toppings). I actually hurt my gums trying to eat a slice of it.. the staff didn't ask if we liked the food, which I believe shows they knew how terrible it was. If I could leave less than 1...
