Trattoria moderna Borgo Marino — Restaurant in Tropea

Came for lunch as a family (two adults, kids 2 and 5 years old). Food was OK but we were charged 2,5 E per person (small kids included) as a coperto - to be clear, I definitely understand this concept and have eaten hundred times in restaurants all around Italy and have experienced hospitality almost everywhere and every time. But here? You get two slices of bread halfed into four tiny pieces and that's "coperto". When I asked the staff he replied to me that they charged their guests for service and for the glasses we drink from because they are very nice (not kidding). Pessimo locale, credo il peggiore di tutta Tropea e se devo dire a mio gusto personale anche il peggiore di tutti i ristoranti che ho assaggiato in qualsiasi regione d'italia. Siamo andati a cenare io e la mia ragazza e mia sorella, io volevo prendere un risotto ai frutti di mare con l'aggiunta di ricci di mare che ero curioso di assaggiarli e penso il proprietario mi ha risposto con un No secco che non si poteva e quando ho chiesto con cos'altro potevo prendere i ricci di mare lui mi ha risposto solo con i tagliolini e non capisco perchè non si possa fare con una pasta corta o metterlo nel risotto buh, la mia ragazza a preso un antipasto di salmone e rucola con pomodorini e mia sorella solo patatine fritte. Devo dire che il salmone e la rucola e i pomodorini non avevano nessun gusto, sopratutto il salmone era insipido anzi se lo avessi assaggiato ad occhi chiusi non avrei saputo nemmeno cosa stessi mangiando, poi i miei tagliolini ai ricci di mare anchessi insipidi proprio nessun gusto e per finire addirittura le patatine fritte non erano buone cioè se mi compro le patatine surgelate e me le friggo a casa sono buonissime ma queste erano proprio senza nessun gusto, una vera delusione e di solito noi prendiamo anche il dolce ma avendo visto già su questi piatti come facevano schifo non ho osato prendere il dolce. A per far capire quanto il salmone fosse deludente io cucino a casa a volte la pasta con panna e salmone e devo dire che è buonissimo e il salmone lo compro alle coop e non fresco dalla pescherie e comunque il piatto è buonissimo invece il loro veramente non lo avrei nemmeno finito se non fosse che il cibonè peccato buttarlo via ma veramente non lo avrei nemmeno finito bleah... vi consiglio vivamente tanti altri ristoranti a Tropea che sono...

Do not eat here!!! Service was awful, asked for water 3 times before getting a bottle with no glasses, asked for 3 different wines, would only offer a full bottle, no glass. Ordered a beer and a coke instead, came with one glass for both drinks. Then the food, came with the smallest amount on the plate and the fish smelt old, flies swarmed the table. It was well presented and due to the location the atmosphere was OK but I would never eat here again and would not recommend it.
