I went to this restaurant, me and my friend ordered some food, when we were ordering he asked us if that's the one for 8 euros, we replied you have written 5 euros. Then he said okay for that one, yes 5. We didn't say anything and sat. The food was okay and not the best, but this time, when we paid the bill, I asked him if he can tell me the bifurcation of the amount he has charged, he charged 15 euros for a single plate of butter chicken which was written on his menu 12 euros. And we clearly told him the beginning that we want butter chicken the 12 euros one, he intentionally gave us the 15 euros one and then started arguing very badly that why u didn't tell me that u wanted that, provided we have clearly mentioned in the order we gave. He has set the menu in such a way that you will order something, and he will charge something else. 15 euros for butter chicken is the price in 5 star hotels, but the price was never the issue. He constantly argued badly. Though it wasn't the first time eating here, as having the same Asian background, instead of a discount, he was asking for a discount from us, which was very unprofessional behaviour. The prices are the highest prices i have seen this time for a restaurant like that. I would never recommend it as the prices are shooting, and the ambience is not even 1 star. Worst experience I have ever had in turin in a restaurant. Would recommend other good Indian and pakistani restaurants which are way better...
Read moreI entered the place and I was greeted in a friendly manner by a timid and kind man. When I ordered the food (chicken biryani + extra gravy + 1 roti + 1 coca cola = 13 euro) he warned me it would take a about 20 minutes since all food would be prepared freshly. I read my book quietly while he was in the kitchen. When he came out he showed me the food and very happy by the way it looked, I walked to the park. The smell coming from the bag was outrageously good. Once I started my lunch the taste was incredibly good. There was a lot of rice and chicken, the blend of spices was on point and the extra gravy added that bit of juciness that I needed. I asked for a spiciness level (normal) which was excellent for me, but for the average Italian (the ones I know at least) I would recommend mild. All in all I would recommend...
Read moreAfter six weeks of delicious European food we were desperately craving some SPICE. Gill Grill provided. They will suggest dishes for you and we found them delicious. (I am sure this is based on what they have fresh on hand and they think will show them off. If so, they were correct.) If you TRULY like spicey, please TELL them. They are used to Europeans who cannot tolerate much spice. Ask them, "Troppo, troppo, per favore." I explained that we were Americans who loved Thai and Vietnamese cooking and we were used to Indian and Pakistani dishes with heavy spice - we were offered and accepted "Pakistani" style heat and spice, and were very pleased with chicken byriani. The garlic naan was by far best ever in our experience. Menu is on the walls. They have beer. Run by a very friendly young couple. Very good value...
