We could have had a great experience eating the pasta, but if youāre a tourist, be careful eating in this restaurant. Ask about and check the price of every single item you choose, because you may be very surprised when the check arrives (we payed 50 euros). We chose 2 types of pasta, 6-7 euros each, which is a pretty great price. With that, we chose some other things to accompany it, such as an octopus salad, some type of cheese, fried sardines and some other type of fish. The check had nothing written on it, it was just random prices. When we asked about the price of each item on the check the staff got defensive and started only speaking in Italian to explain the check (we do not speak Italian), and when we got home we realized that the number of unidentified items on the check didnāt even correspond to what we ordered. Also, according to them, the fried sardines we ordered were 12 euros each, so with 2 of them we payed 24 euros worth in fried sardines (which werenāt that great to be honest) so be careful choosing the items. Thereās a small listing of the prices on the corner of the stand so donāt hesitate to double check what youāre ordering, and to ask for an itemized check later on, something we didnāt do because we didnāt wanna make any problem. So the pasta itself is handmade and pretty delicious, but everything else is super overpriced, and the staff isnāt helpful...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI saw some reviews saying this place is quite pricey, and I agreeāit is, compared to other places in Turin. I ordered three different kinds of pasta and asked the lady if I could have 100g of each. The pricing for the pasta is shown on the display. Hereās the breakdown of what I had on that day(menu and price seems to differ everyday):
Bottoni alla carbonara (100g) ā ā¬3.80 Fagottini al nero di seppia con gamberi e zucchine (100g) ā ā¬4.40 Funghighetti (100g) ā ā¬3.90 1 bottle of Coke ā (no price listed, Iām guessing around ā¬2) Aubergine and paprika salad ā (no price listed, Iām guessing ā¬5)
Thereās a 10% service charge, and I paid a total of ā¬20.30. From the picture you can get an idea of the portion sizes. I estimated that 5 pieces of ravioli equal about 100g (which is less than you might expect - we never weight raviolis do we....š).
The pasta was very flavorful and tasty! But you might find it a little expensive given the portion size. I would also appreciate a bill with listed price...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreUnexpected lunch spot. I was directed towards some other restaurant recommended to me by my hotel but then this little pasta lab caught my attention. What a great discovery! Stuffed pasta is freshly made right in front of you and you can purchase it or eat it right there at one of the little tables. I appreciated the kind service, the amazing pasta and the option to also have veggies, dessert and moka-coffee. My pasta has been incredible, so much so that I decided to buy some to enjoy it at home. If I will ever be back in Turin, I will definitely visit this Pastificio...
