Peperosso — Restaurant in Turin

Managed to find this restaurant while staying in the city for a week, and can I just say the pizza I ordered was second to none, in my opinion it was delicious. I cannot remember the name in Italian, a Da Vialo or something, a spicy salami pizza. Not too spicy, left a nice tingle. The base and crust was just as good as the rest of the pizza. It was wonderful. And the service was very friendly, staff were nice, and at first was awkward with language barriers, but managed just fine. Atmosphere was very nice, had a traditional Italian feel to it, what I expect in an Italian restaurant. Da 4 anni che con numerosi amici aderiamo alla serata bagna cauda. Peperosso è un'eccellenza in qualità di trattoria piemontese della nostra amata Torino, storica città sabauda senonché dei Savoia. Ieri sera 28 ottobre nonostante le numerose prenotazioni Pino il titolare e Alessandro il figlio sono riusciti ad inserire il nostro gruppo di 29 persone, mettendo al massimo sforzo il loro impegno. Come sempre nel loro locale è sovrana la cordialità, la gentilezza, la velocità e la loro alta qualità in fatto di ristorazione. Non ci hanno fatto mancare vino (dal nebbiolo, dolcetto, barbera e arneis), abbondanti vassoi di ottimi antipasti piemontesi, vassoi di pregiate verdure, deliziose e abbondanti bagna cauda, dolci spaziali, pane, acqua, caffè, amaro. Peraltro alcuni amici rinunciando a malincuore alla bagna cauda, per via d'impegni lavorativi il giorno dopo, hanno ordinato 1 fantastica ed abbondate fiorentina, del tonno fresco e 1 pizza ben farcita. Le 2 ragazze in sala sono state bravissime, mai sbagliato i tempi e sempre si ponevano a noi con estrema cordialità. Extremely nice place to eat at. Food is priced fair and relatively affordable and service staff is kind and patient. Recommend this if you’re in the neighborhood. After our first dinner we had to double back and go for a second time (that’s a testament to how good the food is if you’re talking value for money and taste). It won’t be the best pizza you’ll have in your life but it’s robust, honest, and authentic. Really love this place and can’t wait to come...
