Six Nations Murphy's Pub — Restaurant in Turin

Came in as it was one of the only places that was showing the premier league final game week. Everything going great until I decided to order Buffalo wings at half time. Once I received the wings plain with ketchup, Mayo and mustard, it was only burned wings with paprika, that is NOT buffalo wings! Told the staff member with the beard pretending to work, to which he replied that’s how we do it in an arrogant manner, well that’s not buffalo wings is it?! It’s just fried wings. Then trying to compromise (and seeing that he could not care less if I liked the food or not) I asked for any hot sauce to at least be slightly similar, he said no problem I’ll bring over to your table. 15 minutes later still no sauce so I went back down and he laughing in my face said I called the kitchen and they couldn’t find any, so ended up just giving me Tabasco. Honestly such a bad place, they even wash all the pint glasses in the same dirty water, disgusting. The owner of the pub threats his customers very badly. A friend of him insulted my company and started an argument. We took the matter to the owner and he told us to shut up and and that his friend can say what he wants because they are friends. They may be friends in their homes but in a pub everyone is a customer and it is the owner's duty to make everyone feel comfortable. Needless to say we didn't feel that way and left right after meeting the owner. It was not the behavior that we expected, especially with this prices that suggest a way better treatment of the customers. After all the beer and coke in the other places is the same, but cheaper. Sono venuto qui per una cena con amici sotto suggerimento di uno di loro. Non conoscendo il posto e non avevo nessuna aspettativa particolare... ma almeno avrei gradito che qualcuno ci avesse preso le prenotazioni al tavolo invece bisogna fare da se, inoltre c'è poca cortesia quando si ordina e cosa assurda che non mi era mai successa prima, a uno di noi è stata chiesta la carta di credito come "cauzione" visto che non abbiamo pagato prima! 😥

Relativamente al panino sono rimasto deluso: il pane non è nulla di speciale, la carne non è male ma l'hamburger era al sangue (probabilmente è colpa mia che no ho specificato la cottura ma nessuno ha specificato venisse servito al sangue) e probabilmente viene condito con aglio perché si sentiva un'aroma simile che non ho gradito infine il condimento (io ho scelto un club ma non è in foto) era insipido e poco gustoso.

La nota dolente è il conto o meglio "i conti" che forse non li sanno fare: eravamo in 12 e abbiamo preso 11 menu da 16,50€, più un panino con pulled pork 14€, birra 6€ e patatine 6€ (tot 207,50 ovvero 18€ a persona ma abbiamo pagato 228€).

In seconda battuta abbiamo preso altre 6 birre e 4 porzioni di parate "made in sud" (anche queste deludenti visto che i würstel stanno solo scritti nel menu ma poi nel piatto c'è solo l'ombra). Se la matematica non è un'opinione le birre 6x6=36€ e le patate 6,50x4=26€ per un totale di 62€ Ma abbiamo pagato 72€!!!

Totale 23,50€ in più a dei prezzi già sostanziosi di loro!

Purtroppo eravamo in tanti e la pratica è stata seguita da altri e quindi sul momento mi sono limitato a pagare... ma onestamente il tutto mi è sembrato eccessivo e qualcosa non torna!

Nessuno di noi, a fine cena, tornerebbe in questo posto. Ho mangiato hamburger migliori spendendo meno.

Se dovessi dare un titolo a questa recensione/locale direi sicuramente "sopravvalutato".
