Peperino seems to bring the Neapolitan-style pizza into a fast-food-context, being a chain of several restaurants. I visited the one in Udine and got a table right away, the staff was very nice.
The ambience is modern, cozy and friendly - it is not a typical pizzeria, but rather gives of the vibe of a young and modern restaurant - suitable to meet your friends for an informal get-together.
I ordered a Capricciosa, which was delivered in about 10-15min, which was very pleasent. Although the pizza tasted alright (the dough was good), it was extremely greasy - and unfortunately made me feel sick all night. Afterwards I felt like I ate a stone - thus I cannot give the food itself more than one star.
In my opinion, unless you prefer the hip and informal ambience, there is no reason to choose this place over traditional pizzeria - Udine offers so many other, excellent places that offer better pizza at the same price point with better service - such as serving bread or grissini beforehand or olive oil to accompany the pizza, both of which did not...
